  1. If you want to ignore all context outlined in the original post by all means, but... fucking hell.
  2. We're in a tight spot! I'm feeling like we should go all out to try and overcome this Atalanta deficit. It feels more achievable to me than the title, which feels absolutely gone now. It'd give us the opportunity to end the era on a high and complete the set for Jurgen. Thoughts?
  3. Me in 2064 when ol' Dave Usher finally give up hope...
  4. Klopp is detaching emotionally and it's having a grave effect on what we're seeing on the field. I don't necessarily think it's a conscious thing. We can all do it, you detach emotionally to protect and prepare yourself to cope. I think that's what's happening here. We rely completely on being all-in... 100% focused, 100% engines running. It's not there.
  5. And again, I'm questioning the character of the players and the staff after today.
  6. if you weren’t so smug the other night telling people how they should feel it wouldn’t have been on my mind, so it takes one to know one I suppose.
  7. It was harsh to throw shade at him. Silly even. I was I pissed off and lashing out.
  8. presume you’ll be walking this back now? if you watched that and think the malaise is unrelated to Klopp’s departure then you’re kidding yourself.
  9. For better or worse we record within an hour after the game so you get how we’re feeling in that moment. I make no apologies for that. Maybe it was the wrong crew for this pod. I suspect a few may have turned off. @Paul, by the way, is absolutely despondent too. Not sure about your version of reality either. Either we were flummoxed and we didn’t get to grips with it or we created loads of good chances that would have won us the game comfortably. Your version is both. I don’t think it was either. I think we were fucking shit. If we were flummoxed by the 6th placed team in Serie A who’ve barely had a good result in weeks then I wouldn’t say that bodes well, would you? Suddenly their version of Hodgson is now flavour of the month with people saying we should interview him, because of it too. Fuck all that.
  10. Realised as I said it, but when trying to convey hurt, anger, sadness, frustration and hopelessness all at once, such a slip didn't seem high on the list of priorities to correct.
  11. On @Paul's point on the drilling/patterns of play. I think there will still be the drilling there, because why wouldn't it be? I think it's a personnel issue: Old Mo > Current Mo Bobby > Nunez Mane > Diaz
  12. Didn't see the game yesterday as one of my best friends was in town (v. early TLW-ers will remember Haje, he helped redesign the forums when we moved from Bravenet and designed one of the first TLW logos) so it was a good excuse to spare myself the misery. So, I can't comment too much. However: "It's not the best result I have ever seen but I am fine with it." The one thing he shouldn't be is "fine with it." Maybe that's why we fail.
  13. I don't know whether any of you said that, but the poster objecting to him coming back in for ANY of the midfield was rightly pushed back on. Fuck that. Endo's been amazing and Macca is now a contender for our player of the season.
  14. Even that wild take has an element of truth to it. I wouldn't put him in the team instead of Bradley at the moment and the only midfielder he'd replace is Dom on current form. For the overall benefit of the team, give me Endo, Curtis and Macca in ahead of Trent if they're fit.
  15. Haha, didn't think about it possibly being me who was the problem all along. *Cancels flight* Although "the next one" shout means I'll probably never see another.
  16. Ugh god, fucking Rodgers. The thought of going back to a fucking cringelord like him chills the bones. In fact, that entire few years makes me want to cringe so hard my spine might snap. Brendan Rodgers Liverpool we're on our way to glory.... build a team like Shankly did our kids will have a storryyyyyy. Fucking VOMIT. That poetry in motion / we are Liverpool shit that's somehow stuck around is just as bad. I totally fell out of love with the club during that period, for the only time in my life.
  17. Everybody had had a nice time up until that point and if he'd got started the run time would've doubled.
  18. They just stick those fucking lines wherever they want don't they?
  19. Notice those cunts started the same player four times tonight in young Farage, Smith-Rowe, Odegaard and Hazard.
  20. If it sounded awkward, I sometimes feel a little sheepish that I get to travel from abroad to attend games whereas others put in more hard yards than me in maintaining their membership credits and people who live locally aren't able to go very often.
