  1. People genuinely think Bill Gates is tracking their movements, seemingly unaware that he's built the software architecture for 90% of the world's computers on which they conduct most of their financial, social and private lives - since 1985.

  3. The latest episode of, "Mrs D's measurement mishaps." We're redecorating and first job is to freshen up the ceiling in the through lounge. It's a large area and I estimate its about 40-50Msq all in all. I asked her to get me some rollers the other day, she put them in the shed for me. Here they are.

  5. Just trotted down the road to the local metropolis today and spotted a bank card on the ground, nothing else with it. Halifax card, valid until next year. Anyway put it in my pocket and when I got home said to Her Indoors found this while I was out. So she says OK I'll put it online. Me thinking that saves me bothering, she can contact Halifax. So what does she do ? Puts it on fucking Faceaids with all the details but omitting the middle name and asks if anyone knows that etc. I give up. Again.

  7. So his physiology was incredible. Im pretty sure athletes who have lived all their lives at altitude would have a different physiology to those at sea level. But at the end of the day its male v male and woman v woman. The New Zealand lifter was anonymous when competing as a bloke, changes sex and has all the physiological advantages of growing up a male when competing against females. That is just not fair to the other competitors.

  10. Happy to revisit in a year or two. To be honest, go back to the start of this thread and the discussion has barely moved, aside from those who support FSG the goalposts keep moving on what they'll accept that these guys are only here for the cash. In 2 year I'll still be saying FSG are cunts and all 20 of this season's premier League will still be in business. You see you're now suggesting we weren't tight cunts before the pandemic. But we were. So it's exactly as before. This is what I'm talking about on this thread, the pandemic is just a distraction discussion. What FSG have shown through the pandemic is they're tight when it comes to investing in the team and if there's a buck to be made (ESL or furlough) they'll jump at it. Absolutely nothing has changed. I think the accounts paint a picture, I don't think they're an absolute reflection, because they aren't for any company. And so many audits are poor, the idea you can say "they're audited, they must be good", I think is incorrect. On this very forum many who spout "but they're audited accounts" regarding FSG, spit bile over the misrepresentations the owners at city have been able to do - but they're audited accounts that paint a fucking picture. I would like to know what LFC deem to be wages (I don't think this is a clear cut accounting decision, like most things there are things you can count in and out). Most importantly I would like to understand for a company that turns over around 500m, with a wage bill a little over 320m, credit terms used for the large capital investments, where does the money go? What are we spending it on? Let's look at Man United. I think they turned over about 20m more than us last year. They have enormous acquisitional debt to pay. They pay massive dividends. They would appear to pay their players more (they can always afford what we can't) and they are capable of finding money to buy players. I realise the gap has not always been this close, as they moved ahead of us about a decade ago after FSG moved Ayre from his marketing role to MD/CEO role. But that was always levelled up by them needing to put money into the purchasing debt. I find it incredible that we are constantly skint. And I don't buy this stupid idea people say "well you don't go into negotiations saying your loaded". Do these people think rival clubs don't know what we earn? It's preposterous. If we're skint, we're doing something badly wrong. We shouldn't be near skint because we spend fuck all and our wage bill (our single biggest cost centre like most clubs) is massively within normal limits, even last year in a pandemic.

  13. FSG saved us from doing a Leeds, got us the best manager in the world for us, built a new training ground, broke the transfer record for a defender and a GK, expanded Anfield brilliantly (and continue to do so), and bought us number 6 and our first title in 30 years without putting us in debt. They are currently running us responsibly through a pandemic that has cost us multi millions in lost revenue. FSG out blerts can do one.

  14. I'd like the anti-vaxx / anti-mask lot to stop gathering in their thousands. Mainly because they all fucking stink and I care about the o-zone layer. Nobody should be forced to have the vaccine though or made to feel forced. Doesn't mean people can't have an opinion on them. (and vice versa)

  15. Hiding away and filling yourself full of horse paste definitely isn't a sensible thing to do. He would be much better off catching Covid and building natural protection against it. But you know what, that's his choice. People should just respect the choices others make for choosing or not choosing to take a vaccine. Anyone actively bullying people not to get a vaccine is a cunt, just like anyone bullying people to get a vaccine is a cunt.

  18. I don’t think people are getting the vaccine just for their own protection (obviously that is part of it). Younger people are extremely unlikely to die but they are getting the vaccine in large part to help build up protection across the whole of society. Much in the same way you wear a mask to protect other people, not yourself. If you are not taking it because you want to wait and see what happens, then you’re increasing the risk of being infected and passing it onto someone else. At the end of the day people are entitled to do whatever they feel is right for them. Others are entitled to question those decisions too, that’s just normal.

  19. If you lot club together and pay me £70,000 per week for a year I'd happily give every forum member my phone number so anyone could phone me up and give me abuse whenever they wanted. Then once the year is up I'd retire to RAWK for a week until I am banned for having my own thoughts and then retire entirely.

  20. I’ve loved this topic since doing it in school when I was about 14. When I coached in Texas 9 years ago, I was determined to go to the museum, which I did. Genuinely, one of my life goals to visit it, but it wasn’t half disappointing. This is the room, this is the shot and some billboards saying there was no conspiracy. Anyways, for those who are interested, here are the photos from the day. I’ve disguised myself to keep my anonymity from the forum - god forbid somebody from the forum try’s to attack me at a game for being a pro-FSGer or even worse, try’s to talk to me.

  22. I think if we want to just compete for the title, we don't have to do anything. You can say "Let's give Elliott a clear path" and "the numbers in midfield are sufficient" and both those things are fair arguments. We have 7 midfielders which is numerically fine and Elliott could be good enough and could give us a shot in the arm. But to win what will be a very competitive league and have a chance of winning the Champions League at the same time, we probably need another 35m forward or 35m midfielder, if just to guard against injury. Paradoxically, we have a great squad, but are also a few key injuries away from treading water.

  26. Eliminating the basketball funding was even worse, in my opinion. Already one of the most played sports in the country, resources in place across the country (nets & courts). But no grassroots organisation or will to provide youth coaching or central team to aspire to, or see as a pathway to Eurobasket/NBA recognition.

  29. Pretty much it, 600 stations closed/sold. 20,000 less police. 27,000 less support staff, this hit London massively. Detective/officer levels decimated. There was an example from Birmingham years back where they reclassified attempted vehicle theft as criminal damage and then made a massive deal that attempted thefts were down. Yet, they’re still claiming credit for making it marginally less shit. Years back my thick as mince uncle, who was a massive fucking virgin, had no friends, as he’d been mollycoddled to the point of being functionally useless met a women who took everything from him, proper screwed him over. Did he learn his lesson, no. A couple of years later, once he’d been able to save a little I assume she turned back up and did exactly the same to the thick fucker. It genuinely happens again about a year after this as well, but he paid for holidays for her and her kid. Shes the tories, he’s the ‘Great British Public’ always being told ‘I’ve changed’ Stupid cunts.

  30. Ended up getting a Series S in the end as I couldn't get a Series X, going to get a Series X for Christmas I think and move the S into the back room. Definitely the best console I've ever had. The quick resume between games is superb and the game pass is ridiculously good value. There is a way to get it for £40 a year which is just mental for the amount of games you get. Over 300 games on it I think. The space isn't too bad either, managed to install Halo Master Chief collection which is about four or five games, Forza 4, Jedi Fallen Order, Footy Manger 2021, Oro and the Will of the Wisps, Some Disney game for my kid, Medal of Honor Airborne, Donut County and the Flight Simulator that came out today and still got about 15gb left.

  31. No doubt things could be better, especially where grassroots involvement is concerned, but I remember the 1996 Olympics when Britain came 36th in the medal table with a single gold, and the last three Olympics have delivered 19, 29 and 27 gold medals respectively, so someone somewhere is doing something right.

  39. I think it's good in theory but in practice it can throw up problems, such as the labour MP being 'held to account' by the relatively small number of people who control the CLP, rather than the tens of thousands of wider voters who put them there. During their tenure rather than pushing the agenda of the constituency they end up trying to appease what is usually three or four people. 'you didn't vote X on our Punjabi amendment at conference, your work on the local bus station replacement buys you no favours here.' I can only speak from experience but the shot callers in the CLP of the labour MP I worked for didn't like him for the simple reason that they wanted one of their family members to get the job but they were never selected. They'd wanted them in post so they could get jobs with them. As a result, they didn't campaign for him and looked for any chance to undermine him. He was a decent local MP though IMO and popular with the wider electorate. There can be a lot of power games at CLPs, bullying and abject cuntery. Good people sure, but often drowned out.

  40. Busby left in 1970, 51 years ago. Ferguson was manager 25.5 years. During the other 25.5 years they have had 9 other managers who between them have won the following: Division 2 title x 1. FA Cup x 4 Europa League x 1 League Cup x 1. In the 25 years prior to Busby appointment they won the following: Division 2 title x 1. That's it. In the past 101 years they have won 6 trophies (and 2 Division 2 league titles) in the 50.5 years that they were not managed by Ferguson and Busby. The last 31 years have been a disappointment in Liverpool terms of winning trophies but we have still won 11 major trophies, including big ears twice and a league. They are a huge club but their successes have been reliant on 2 excellent managers.
