I went on a mixed coach in 84. Mixed car in 86 and mixed coach in 89. Wished them luck in big games when the local blues drank in our pub. Then it all changed, discussions became arguments, snide comments from family and friends. Not because of Heysel in my opinion, but pure jealousy of our success. Now, every mishap/bad luck/shit season/police investigation etc, I fuckin relish. Small time cunts Fuck them all. Family and friends. So happy I no longer have to associate with them and I still haven't seen a shite kit in Turkey markets.11 points

Gutted for everyone on here who’s lost a dog. One of the worst feelings I’ve ever known. This little lass is around 18 years old now. Had her for coming up 9. She survived her second encounter with mast cell tumours this year after the same in 2017, nearly died during the removal op as her blood pressure dropped through the floor, so they had to bring her round immediately and stitch her up conscious. 26 weeks on Monday, so I’m told the danger of recurrence is now back to the same as for any dog who’s never had one. Touch wood and then some. She’s got cataracts in both eyes which won’t ever be operated on now - only life-saving anaesthetics allowed in future - and is deaf as a post, but she’s a little machine who the vets say is healthy, strong and still getting plenty enough quality in her life. Won’t hesitate to make that decision with the heaviest of hearts when required, just soaking up every single day in the meanwhile. Fucking apple of my eye.8 points

I feel sorry for the athletes. They've trained so hard to compete at these Olympics, the pinnacle of their sport and it's behind closed doors, so they don't get the crowds cheering them and the applause. Many of them will never compete at the Olympics again and they are being denied that. They must be gutted. Really sad.3 points

I'd be made up if this happens, every game utd play and the opposition fans stand clapping and chanting his name.3 points

Those two deserve sympathy for being racially abused by some no mark small people. And when they come to Anfield they deserve to be treated like any other opponent player. Rashford deserves a standing ovation, not for being racially abused but for his own words and actions.3 points

The pic I posted above is my lovely Molly, we got her as a rescue from the R.S.P.A , she was in a shocking state, no fur and only 5 kilos. We fixed that. We had her for six years and it was guessed she was about six year old when we got her. That photo was taken in the morning before the trip to the vet. she looks well but she was in renal failure, we took her before the end game suffering began.3 points

Trumo will be along in a moment to tell us that that was Number One at the time of the first of the Newcastle 4-3s.2 points

No mention of the 15000 jobs we are creating and the investment we will be bringing to a run down slum area ? Na thought not, knew we should have thrown homeowners out of their homes. Like Quote Reply Report Well they did. That’s how Goodison avenue disappeared. But then I don’t expect an Everton fan to know their history when they’re too busy banging on about ours.2 points

In about March/April when it first kicked of my family got wind of a doctor offering them and as a few of us had something resembling it we thought we'd try, mainly in the hope that we'd be able to get on with our lives in our ignorance. Anyhows this 'doctor' turns up at our house in a flash Merc and with very little of what you'd call bed side manner. As I'm the alpha I offer up my blood first...Just as she starts talking about it being a Chinese conspiracy and that she's had it twice already...the family start asking awkward questions of her which put into question her medical record, simple thing like 'do blood types effect this?' She didn't agree that blood types existed! Surprisingly none of us who had had 'it' had it so she starts to make excuses and scuttles off. She still invoiced us for £500 which we took great pleasure in telling her to fuck off over. Some right cunts about.2 points

I suppose the biggest issue with the stadium now is that it's not situated within quarter of a mile of any schools.2 points

The Town - A good film rather than a great one, but something I enjoy rewatching. Paddington - Wonderful. I’ve been a fan since I was a kid. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood just missed out. The real Sharon Tate > Margot Robbie. Interstella can fuck right off. I’d sooner watch Button Moon.2 points

As funny as it is to blame Everton for the city's loss of UNESCO WHS status, the main problem I have with the idea of heritage preservation is that whole areas are allowed to become really decrepit when there are no economic, historical, archtectural or aesthetic reasons for keeping them that way. Bramley Moore Dock is not like the dock areas closer to the city centre, with significant landmarks in the vicinity. Its original reason for being is no longer pertinent, and the area is hardly teeming with visitors regaling in its faded splendour. It's not Machu Picchu or the Colisseum. I'm not suggesting redevelopment on the scale of Dubai or Abu Dhabi for example, but to accept a bit of realism and the need to not let the area go to ruin.2 points

You don't have to have a stadium on the waterfront to strip Liverpool of world heritage status, but they have stripped Liverpool of world heritage status.2 points

It almost beggars belief to think that a Tory was responsible for the only worthwhile transformation in this city in the last 100 years. And that was partially done to spite Thatcher. The council has been let by cheap little conmen of different stripes for at least 50 years. No vision, no credibility outside the narrow tribal band they seek election from, and have all let the city and it's inhabitants down to such an extent that it's now turned into a Blackpool with better legacy architecture. It's fucking annoying that there seems to be no understanding of this amongst the tribes, and people's expectations are so low that apathy has been the order of the day for those 50 years.2 points

At one point one third of the world’s shipping was registered in Liverpool. It’s rich merchant class built the parks, mansions and buildings we love today. At the same time, the “scousers” lived in some of the worst slums in Europe which meant Liverpool had a long list of world first’s when it came to public health reforms. Tourism is more than going to your hotel, quick shufty on Trip Advisor and go from there. Even the story of its decline is up there with Detroit, but if no one is selling it because they think shite quick build Lego apartments for Steve from Singapore to dodge tax in is the answer to regenerating a city then quite frankly they can get fucked, the massive sell out cunts. Even in the comments on FB there was a Yank lamenting this saying over there it’s “ here once stood” as some neo yuppie has put up some monstrosity. The blame lies squarely with Liverpool Labour I’m afraid and I hate having to say that because the other pricks are just as complicit. Maybe things would’ve been different if they’d knocked up a Canary Wharf in the early 80s like they did for East London. Bastards the lot of them.2 points

It also plays to the gallery with jealous racists who will lap this shit up without ever considering why their lives are pathetic and empty. I agree about it being a mistep, but if it keeps us distracted from covid and Brexit it serves it purpose for now.2 points

I wouldn't read anything into that, rigid managers like Moyes will never change their back 4 or 2 sitters. That leaves 3 replacements from the 4 attackers on the pitch. Go right back through Moyes career and it will be wingers being his first sub 95% of the time.2 points

Doesn't matter who's writing his tweets tbh. If he's putting his name to them and some good is being done, fair play to the lad. Too many cunts on social media giving it the big "look at me!". This lad is actually doing something.2 points
