  1. Day 3 for me. Felt shite all night long - the night seems to be the worst as it's the only thing you think about and you end up going over all the bad shit that could happen (hospital, death, obviously). The Aches and pains are similar to when I had a bad chest infection years ago. I've had problems with my lower back for a few years and this seems to be making it worse, it's like any weak spot it hammers into it. Got up for a piss earlier and ended up lying on the bathroom floor, drenched in sweat on the verge of vomiting. And then ten minutes later it had passed. I'm going to sound really fucking stupid and selfish but I'll be honest I didn't think it would be this bad - I'm 41 and in pretty good health. Hopefully back on the paracetamol and ibuprofen will get me going again. Good news is the wife seems to be past the worst.

  9. Try sleeping flat on your belly with your head looking to the side. Apparently that exposes the lungs and gives them maximum available area to take breaths. I also repeat the advice my physio drummed into me; plan, take your time, sleep, take time to catch your breath. All simple stuff but all incredibly pertinent when you're completely shattered after getting a shower or shave. Take it easy mate, seriously, look after yourselves.

  11. Her Indoors is 'tidying up' as her Mum is coming tomorrow. I made the mortal sin of coming back from the shop and put my feet on the kitchen floor after she'd cleaned it. There would have been less of a commotion if I'd have put a pick axe through the window. Another crisis later erupts. She can't find two Christmas stockings to put prezzies in for me and her Mum. So fucking what, I'm 64 and her Mum is 92, we're not exactly kids. The hunt is still going on as I can hear various crashes, bangs and wallops as she demolishes the house trying to find them. Whether they will be found before tonight and the ensuing Royal visit tomorrow remains to be seen. On the plus side no sight or sound of bint. The benefitsmobile is parked across the road and is staying put so she can sit and stew over HI's sister's place (her Mums). Seems no one is speaking to anyone there anyway (due to bint) so no doubt that will be a rip roaring occasion. Here will be just dull and boring unless Her Indoors demolishes the house and I have to pitch a tent. No booze for me anyway. I was getting some deliivered through the lockdown and so on until Bob the builder turned up in September and put all his tools in the garage where the booze was being parked. So I thought 'fuck it' and that continued through Go Sober For October (Macmillan Nuses) and through till now. Only raised £95 but didn't really publicise it. Next year I'll collar you lot. Anyway while I enter full miserable cunt mode you lot have a great time and try not to get too fucking pissed. Cheers all. Any updates will be published.

  12. Grim, was quite heartening though (if that's the word) that we popped in to south liverpool foodbank yesterday to drop stuff off and they were turning stuff away because they'd been inundated with donations.

  13. Because the tactics for those matches dictated it. It is like suggesting Gini wasn't a first teamer because he did not start the Barca game. Not really sure how this is turned into an argument - Wijnaldum has played more than any other midfielder during his time here - he has been and undoubtedly still is first choice. Klopp trusts him. If you think Ox would have continued on into the next season ahead of Wijnaldum in midfield that is fine. I don't. But he might have. TBH Ox seems a nice fella but for 90% of his career here he has been very poor. Useless when played in the front three and had a good stretch of what was literally a month in the midfield. Other than that he has been a disappointment. I respect your opinion mate but it seems you have taken this onboard a little too much and are arguing for the sake of it.

  14. I don't know man - Milner is on more than double the wages and he has played only a handful of minutes this season. He really did not play all that much last season either. Love James but if it was a straight swap I would have Wiji.

  23. The pardoning system absolutely disgusts me. Only a court of law with evidence should be able to deal out justice. Commit crime after crime with your cronies, then just pardon it all like a medieval king. Disgusting. Was reading about Charles Kushner being pardoned what a fucking cesspit of humanity that cunt and his family are. Biden if he had any integrity should make an executive order denying all pardons and removing the right of a president to pardon anybody. Drain the swap they were all singing before his election instead they turned the whole country into one, stupid trump supporting fucks, thick as shit.

  27. All players have small dips in form and all players get benched. Henderson has been benched and was 4th choice for a while under klopp. Since Gini has been at Liverpool we have consitently had at least 2 (usually more) for each position in midfield. We have played 166 league games. Gini has started 140 of those games and come off the bench in another 15. To suggest during he's been anything but 1st choice I think is looking for ways to make ourselves feel better about him going, which i think he clearly is. You rightly point to the fact he's fit, therefore he plays. You say it like it's a bad thing. But I'd sooner have Gini having a quiet game than chamberlain scratching his plumbs in the treatment room. I can't imagine anyone (maybe firmino?) has played more games under klopp than Gini (or indeed has a more appearance to games ratio for those who've not been here as long as him), so he's undoubtedly going to be an absolutely massive loss if/when he goes and pointing to a match 18 months ago when he didn't get picked doesn't really cut it for me. Fortunately we have probably the best manager in the world at dealing with these situations and back when we were good, we were always smart at the timing of letting the tail of a players career land at another club - we're yet to see if this generation of LFC management has the same skill. It's certainly something klopp isn't used to dealing with as normally all his good players have fucked off elsewhere before he gets to that point of a top players career. On a purely footballing level, Gini staying is an easy choice. I get he might be asking too much or indeed we've spent his wages on thiago already - but I don't think anything Gini has (or hasn't) done on the pitch should be the reason he doesn't stay. However I do understand that players who score and assist as little as Gini, however good they are as players, generally earn less and rightly too.

  40. Stupid, naive Bluenose twats: they think PEDs are chemicals, rather than the blood of virgins sacrificed on a Total solar Eclipse, during a decade that Everton win a trophy, and seen from Birkenhead ferry terminal. Lucky for us that we stockpiled all of the supplies just in time, in 1999. Hopefully, it will last us until the next eclipse and Everton trophy in 2090.

  41. Any idea he was shit in his first season is fucking nonsense. He scored 6 goals in that season and many of them vital goals getting us points, and him breaking the deadlock just before HT in the last game of the season stopped and anguish second half and secured Champions league football. Premier League Starts sub 2020 13/1 2019 35/2 2018 32/3 2017 27/6 2016 33/3 Barring a couple of months in 2017 he has obviously been a regular starter for us in very successful sides. Obviously the club and his agent can't agree on a deal. Likely with a few new contracts needed for first team players. But any suggestions he should be behind or go before Keita, Ox, Milner are nonsense. He has been more important than all of them. Milner as good as he has been has noticeably slowed, if he didn't offer the ability to play fullback he wouldn't get much playing time.
