  1. It feels wrong, but I increasingly care less about how things feel. I've had enough of shit-munching peasants hurling abuse about Heysel, Hillsborough, Slippy G etc etc ad infinitum, but when it comes to it, they're only too happy to ride our coat-tails to broadcast riches that, quite frankly, their own level of support doesn't come anywhere near to justifying. With this, and Big Picture, it seems the crime of clubs like United and Liverpool is to know their value to the league and to try to assert it. How many people do we think paid 15 quid to watch West Brom v Burnley on pay per view? Now how many do you think would pay it to watch Liverpool v United? Without the big clubs the West Hams and Fulhams and Evertons of the world have NOTHING. No product, no money, no anything. Fuck them in their ears. I'm through with having to pretend that these no-marks are our peers, I'm done with the disrespect, the deliberate attempts to injure our players. They had it and they blew it. The golden geese are flying off and they're taking their golden eggs with them.

  4. The party would have stiffed him even more than they did. Brexit fucked Labour. Completely and utterly fucked them. Corbyn wasn't a very good orator. He was too soft and accepting on lots of stuff, the nice guy ploy had limited scope. He appointed some completed idiots to the shadow cabinet (although the pool of "talent" wasn't exactly heaving with quality). He prioritised things the majority of people don't give a fuck about. He pissed around on the anti-semitism issue and ended up tamely accepting the criticism and being fucked by the press every single day on it. He looked scruffy at times, utterly irrelevant in my opinion but not to many voters. His baggage of clearly being against the monarchy, against nuclear weapons, and against many of the things that are seen as being patriotic (shooting shepherds in the middle east, pretending the UK is better than other countries at things it clearly isn't, etc, etc). And many more things. He was, and is, a very decent man and an extremely good campaigner. He wasn't a leader really. He put himself up for the job because the pool of people that were actually democratic socialists and over the age of about 14 in the PLP consisted of him, Abbott, McDonnell, and a couple of others in their 80s. Thanks to Blair and Mandelson gutting the party for over a decade. However, no position of his was going to win an election in 2019. Pro remain and he wins about three seats north of Watford. Pro Brexit and loads of seats in the South are handed to the Tories as the Lib Dems and Greens increase their vote. Somewhere in between and, well, we saw what happened. They lost several seats from all over the country. The chance was in 2017, and he was fucked by some of the most shameless fucking cunts in politics. People that have shat all over their constituents and handed the country over to one of the worst collection of humans to have been involved in Western politics in several decades. But, as others have said, it's done now. And I'm not actually sure why I typed this. I'm off for a twix.

  8. I think Liverpool and the Mancs knew that Project Big Picture would be met with scepticism and dissent, so this has leaked as their next salvo to get the PL, FA and EFL to talk about the future of the domestic game properly. The two club have by far the biggest pull of any English sides, and they know the PL and the FA need them. In any case, the trouble with a competition where the big European sides play each other every week is that it will quickly lose its lustre, because the very fixtures that are currently so attractive and draw all the interest will become so much more mundane. In the current CL format, the bigger sides are quite likely to meet every year, but there are a lot of games against teams who don't have that same pull. For competitive interest, the balance is necessary.

  9. Given what we’ve seen this last few days, it wouldn’t bother me. If you’d have mentioned it a week ago I’d have been against it. But now? Fuck it, do it. Our League is incompetent as fuck. Anything that puts us in another League to them Heysel loving cunts can only be a good thing.

  11. Apologies if posted elsewhere but good to see a player calling these cunts out for Saturday and in previous games Gini Wijnaldum has blasted Jordan Pickford and Everton for their approach in the Merseyside derby, criticising the “stupid” tackle which led to a long-term injury for Virgil van Dijk. Frustration and anger were just two emotions which spread throughout the club in the immediate aftermath of Liverpool’s clash with Everton, with Van Dijk recklessly challenged by Pickford. The following day it was confirmed that the Dutchman had sustained a grade three ACL tear, putting his 2020/21 season in jeopardy and leaving his teammates simmering with rage at the manner in which his injury was sustained. Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Ajax on Tuesday, Wijnaldum did not hold back in his assessment of Everton and their “unacceptable” approach to the game which saw both Van Dijk and Thiago succumb to knee injuries. “First of all, devastated, think it’s different than normal – how it happened was hard for us and I think everyone still has and feeling about it,” Wijanldum told reporters. “When speaking with lads after sat I think no one of the players slept after what happened with Virgil because of the way it happened. It’s really hard one to take for me, and also for the team. We were upset, as I explained before, the way Pickford went it on the challenge, in my opinion, was stupid and I believe he didn’t want to injure Virgil but the way he took the tackle he didn’t care what happened after. “We had it a lot in games against Everton, in my opinion, they take it way too far. We know it’s a derby and everyone wants to win but sometimes you go over the top, but it was too much. “If you talk about the tackle of Richarlison on Thiago it was also a nasty one, that’s what bothers me the most and most of the other players. “Accidents can always happen in football, you can be unlucky and injure someone but the way they were doing it was completely unacceptable. “It makes it harder that they don’t get punished. In this case Pickford after seeing the videos.” With the referees having deemed to have seen the incident, no retrospective action will be taken on Pickford and the players are right to feel aggrieved for they have not only lost an exceptional player but an important teammate on and off the field as they push to continue their success. https://www.thisisanfield.com/2020/10/gini-wijnaldum-blasts-stupid-jordan-pickford-challenge-and-over-the-top-everton/

  14. It depends on the type and location of the cancer, with Lymphoma. If it is near to the spine then the risk of transfer to the brain becomes more likely. Mine was on the adrenal glands and near to the spine, and it required ten really fucking uncomfortable intrathecal lumber punctures - spinal taps! Horrible, but necessary to track for any possible spread. The good thing there was the Dude's really positive attitude towards it: you need a bit of that.

  17. It worries me this snouts in the trough talk because as I've said before, it's being done by people to alienate people from their politicians and the political process. Think about who it is who peddle this stuff the most? LBC right wing jocks, the Daily Mail, the Daily Express. They will slam 'MPs' but they won't slam Johnson, the Tories or the actual government itself. No, the source of their ire is 'MPs'. What's the ultimate goal of that I wonder? When you go knocking on doors trying to drum up support for Labour it's the feeling of voting being 'pointless' or 'they're all the same'. They're quite clearly not. The level of financial depravity and outright corruption shown by this tory government is off the scale. they're not all the same - some, mostly usually Tory - are far, far worse. Said on here before but I work for an MP, we got that 10k increase for expenses when Covid kicked off, it was painted by the usual suspects (Nick Ferrari, Daily Mail and all those other cunts as an 'MP payrise') but it was supposed to be for the cost of doing our work from home. Because everyone is so shit scared of being pulled up, we haven't touched a penny of the money as an office, so I incur the costs myself, use my own phone, own laptop, own broadband etc. At the height of the pandemic I was doing 10 hour days trying to help people looking for assistance with grants, benefits, food deliveries, you name it. Most don't appreciate it and you're only one Brexit vote away from getting a death threat, but that's how it goes. Even before that, it was the worst job I've ever had in terms of the basic niceities of working in an office. Buy your own kettle, clean your own desk, kind of shit people (including in the public sector, which is also taxpayers' money) take for granted. This all stems from a deliberately toxic environment that's been whipped up over a few years and it's not to the benefit of you or I, that's for damn sure.

  18. Never been a fan of Jackson, thought he was ok as part of the Jackson Five but never thought he was that much of a singer as an adult. Elvis was a great singer, very charismatic and probably did as much as any white singer to bring African American musical styles to the masses, such as gospel and blues. Elvis all day for me.

  24. Unfortunately to my cost I have tried crack cocaine many times in the past. I’m a recovering addict. I’m happy to report I’ll be 18 months clean next week. My life is unrecognisable really to how it was at my lowest ebb a couple of years ago. One of the key factors in my recovery has been getting into cooking. I love it. Hence my last couple of posts in here.

  25. It's astounding that they still don't see the hypocrisy in them using the phrase they borrowed off their Mancunian brothers in arms - "Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing." They've been a shining example of this over the past few days, having to go back years to post pictures of tackles from Gerrard and Kuyt to avoid having to do the right thing and condemn their own thuggish players from throwing in two utterly shocking "tackles." They're largely classless, hypocritical twats and I won't have anything different said about them. The small time cunts.

  27. I am way too lazy to move the goal posts. Back to the original - Elvis was far bigger than Michael Jackson. Michael Jacksons recordings have never been groundbreaking - they have been at the top of the industry for awhile. He has never been at the vanguard of performance or creativity. He is good. But he is not Elvis. And he has nowhere near the influence of mid 80's rap, then or now.

  33. That last few days my hatred for them has increased tenfold, I didn’t think that was possible. My brother, a blue, has been fair minded and constructive to me, it’s all a front though. He doesnt know I do Twitter and read his account. The shit he tweets with the rest of the cunts is horrendous. Guarantee, even the ‘good ones’ give it all the shite once our back is turned. Had a couple arguments in work yesterday, going on like they’d won the fucking League. They were getting that video of some of our Knob head fans singing about Coleman’s leg break as justification of going OTT on Virg. Really can’t fucking stand them.

  36. Obviously I hope Depp wins and sues the cunt and the rag for millions but reading the reports of that case the pair of them (Depp and Heard) need keeping at opposite ends of the planet from each other. Pair of absolute lunatics together who did each other some proper mental and physical damage. Depp has always seemed a bit unhinged anyway with a massive drink and drug habit. Throw a toxic blonde into that and fingers get chopped off and beds get shit in.

  39. His analysis was embarrassing last night, I couldn’t believe the shite he was coming out with. All that going back to the 80’s was pathetic, most clubs got by with about 15 players back then. I know Sky are desperate to try and sell a really close title race with four or five teams involved, but you’d think we were abject and ready to fall apart after an injury to one brilliant player. That injury brings us back to the pack a little, but we have a team with another half dozen world class players and plenty of other top class players in addition. There is also the option to go into the transfer market in just over two months.
