  3. Good Evening everyone, I have a suspicion that a certain tabloid may run an article with regards to myself. Just to inform you all if you do see anything regarding Myself or anyone in Team Speedo, in this tabloid, this has not come from any of us. https://t.co/wXaIKYhVJe

  4. Either this is some taxi driver-grade bullshit but somebody's taken the time to write it as a call to arms, or it's true that some lids have been threatening to set the firm on the players' cars because Liverpool are winning stuff and they aren't. One way or another, this is absolutely fucking glorious.

  8. Amazingly we seem to be at the point where it's actually dead hard to sign anyone who'd improve our first 11, we're just that damn good. Never a fan of just spending for spending's sake, would always prefer to keep the money in the bank until the right player becomes available, ala Big Virg. Age wise, it be remiss if we weren't actively scouting to replace our front 3 but I absolutely trust Michael Edwards' and his staff to get it right. Jason Sancho though, for the price quoted I'm far from convinced and would swerve. Summer time and I would be looking to move on Lallana and Lovren, bringing in a top drawer, creative midfielder and another solid centre half. Haven't seen enough of Kai Havertz to pass an opinion but someone who's opinion I trust has said he'd be the one. Lovren's replacement? I've always rated Christian Kabasele at Watford and was always a big fan of Soyuncu whilst he was at Freiberg. Again though I'm sure Edwards has his targets and will do the right thing. Williams and Hoever seem to have the RB understudy position sorted, so perhaps one more in at LB to spell Robo? Already said I like Vinagre at Wolves but we shall see. In good hands, in very rude health.

  15. @_pauljoyce Director of football Marcel Brands held a meeting with angry Everton fans who turned up at the training ground on Monday to confront players in aftermath of Liverpool defeat. “They asked security to bring the players out and, when that request was refused, it was suggested that more fans could be mobilised to turn up at the training complex and stage a blockade, highlighting the toxic nature of the fall-out from the humiliating loss.” I’m trying to eat my lunch but I can’t chew as my grin is far too wide. Oh that and the lidocaine.

  17. I remember crying my eyes out at the ‘89 Arse game, my mum kicking off because I’d stayed up to watch it and she said she was never letting me watch a match again in my life. I’ll never forgive that evil witch for not keeping her word on that.

  22. The Men of Walton Vale have besieged the fortress at the Farm of Finches, led by Lid the Mighty. After decades of abuse at the hands of Lord Kenwright of Luvvie they have finally decided to rebel. The threat from power of the neighbouring land, it’s Queen Ann of Field and her Red Legions has finally thrown them over the edge. They fear Kenwright may bolt under the pressure and leave them at the mercy of the Red army led by Jurg of the Black Forest. Coming in the next instalment. Kenwright sends Maester Brands to speak with Lid.

  25. I'm well aware that it's subjective, but the British version of The Office is better for so many reasons. I liked the American version, but i admit i lasted about four episodes after Carell left before i gave up. 1) Believable characters. I'm sorry but Dwight and Michael became absolute caricatures and ridiculously unbelievable as the series progressed. 2) Believable storylines. The episode of the US Office where Jim puts an Asian version of himself at his desk (with a perfect knowledge of Jim's life and client history) would never have happened in the UK version, because the banal nature of the place they worked and the job itself was what made the characters situations funnier and as mentioned above, believable. 2) It didn't outstay it's welcome. Two series and the Christmas specials was the perfect length and everyone got the ending they deserved. Perfect. 3) Every individual character in the UK version was more likeable than their US counterparts* Jim and Pam were sound but got cloying in the end. Dawn and Tim never got to that stage, because it ended at the perfect time. Gareth was a million times better than Dwight, because he was basically pathetic and it didn't have to rely on tiresome Redneck/serial killer gags for you to realise it. And despite his patheticness, you still rooted for him. 4)*yeah, even Finchy. 5) So many quotable lines. I can't off the top of my head think of a single quote from the American version, whereas not a single day passes without me wanting to quote the UK version.

  32. Certainly one of the worst was after the 3-0 defeat at the Nou Camp last year. I just couldn't believe that such a brilliant team and manager was going to end that season with essentially nothing to show for it. I was pissed off as I knew Barcelona were beatable and that scoreline didn't reflect the performance at all. Thankfully we know the rest.
