  2. I’ve been round Asda twice now - noting which food and non food items they have on offer. I’ve spoken to the manager of the store and he said he’s happy for me to buy a certain amount of produce, and I’ve checked with the missus to make sure said items will fit in the cupboards. She said they will so I consider that a key milestone to enable me to move forward. I just have to look down the back of the sofa to see if I can find any money to buy something. If I can’t find the money, I’ll make an appointment in Asda again, this time next year, and see what’s what.

  3. To be fair to Pep, if I was on cheat mode on football manager spending a billion pound in 3 seasons and I was getting my arse handed to me by a manager that had a net spend of 70m in the same period i'd be pretty pissed off too. A manager that has also been to successive champions League finals, winning one and beating me on the way to the first when that's my prime goal. Losing when you're cheating hurts. Makes you feel even more of a worthless fraud.

  4. Glad they’ve all raised publicly that booing Sterling gets into his head and puts him off his game, that’ll definitely be the end of it now football fans know for sure.

  5. Riley should reply in writing saying they considered Guardiola’s enthusiastic public display of sincere gratitude towards the refereeing staff for their great performance at the final whistle to be City’s official feedback, settling the matter.

  6. I'd like to announce that 98% of people approve of my plan to let them spend an hour playing with Kelly Brooks' tits. The response was overwhelmingly positive. What happens next? Now I simply have to convince Kelly Brooks to let people play with her tits for an hour *z cars plays over a siren*

  8. Look at the state of this : Why mention those in the list (just noticed Buckethead is also Binface now) but leave out Yace "Interplanetary Time Lord" Yogenstein? They're just trying to boost the others so Yace doesn't get an equal chance by the looks of it. Fuck this election.

  14. Why aren't Klippity Kloppos super magic cheato-drugs working on keita? Is he allergic to them? Doesn't make sense when it's pretty much been confirmed that his magic sted-juice-stem-cell cocktails are the primary reason our team of average players is winning? VAR being secondary obviously.

  20. Of course legislation won't stop some 15 year old kid from obtaining a firearm, because he has grown up in a country where kids are taught from an early age to pledge allegiance to the American flag at least once a week, and that every US citizen has a right to bear arms as per some ancient constitutional amendment that may have been deemed necessary at the time but isn't allowed to be questioned more than 200 years on when things are supposed to have changed for the better, and that guns can be the solution to any problem. Got a problem with your school? Shoot the bastards! Got a problem with your classmates? Shoot the bastards! Got a problem with your parents? Shoot the bastards! Got a problem with your neighbours? Shoot the bastards! Got a problem with yourself? Best to blow your bastard brains out! Anything approaching rational thought is un-American.

  25. Its just so odd isn’t it. Why are they wasting money on it? Removing any of the piss taking out of it. It’s going to cost 500m, at least. They don’t turn enough of a profit now to pay for it and it’s almost a certainty that they won’t break into the champions league for the revenue to go up significantly. If their owner decides to pay for it himself it’s not going to add 500m value to the club or make their revenue big enough to cover the cost of it so why would he spend that much money of his own? They just keep going through these PR exercises. As has been said above, how was the “consultation” going to be anything other than positive. You’re basically consulting Everton fans on whether they want to move to a brand new stadium which is going to be built on unused wastleland whilst also having positive plan to deal with Goodison and suggesting it’s going to create 15000 jobs (I’d actually love to see the full list of these “jobs” and what the pay, hours and contract term were and how much public money was going to be used but let’s ignore that for a second). If you asked every Liverpool fan the above I think the percentage wouldn’t be that far off positive compared to what the Everton fan result was. The problem which has always been the same wasn’t included in the consultation. Who is paying for it? If they said we are doing all this stuff but we expect public money to be funding a large portion of it, how positive would it have been then? We are putting you’re council tax up ten percent or introducing a local income tax to pay for the stadium because it will create some stewarding jobs. If that’s the case then the reality is you’ve got a billionaire owned football club looking for handouts so they can make more money. The whole thing is ridiculous.

  28. It's not really is it? The EU and freedom of movement has had a slight impact on some low paid jobs. The Tory government and decades of neo-liberal economics have had a much bigger effect. The right wing tabloid press has been publishing bullshit and lies about the EU for decades. In the cities where people have more of the EU migrants and understand the situation better they know the truth. In the regions with least migration they have less personal experience of actual people so have swallowed the bullshit and blamed the "others". Classic right wing populism, while they are at the top, reducing workers rights and raking it in.

  39. The shite in general. It's a shitfest almost every aspect. What's being done and what were doing, what we focus on or dont. How people act or react. The politicians, the media, the voters. It all feels shite. I'll add. Im just tired of it all, it's why I asked the daily mail to ban me. Im tired of adding to it.

  43. Interesting statement from Chomsky on this. https://peoplesdispatch.org/2019/11/09/we-stand-against-the-coup-in-bolivia-statement-from-noam-chomsky-and-vijay-prashad/ In Bolivia, a coup d’état is brewing against the elected government led by Evo Morales. Sections of the armed forces – including the police – have openly indicated that they are willing to allow fascistic militia groups to attack the presidential palace in La Paz. This is a very serious situation. Evo Morales has invited the four major parties to sit down and talk about the way forward for Bolivian democracy. He has asked for the creation of a dialogue to prevent a return to the days of military dictatorships and the rule of the oligarchy. Morales has called upon the United Nations, the Organization for American States, the Vatican and others to assist in a path away from the coup. The coup is driven by the Bolivian oligarchy, who are angered by the fourth election loss by their parties to the Movement for Socialism. The oligarchy is fully supported by the United States government, which has long been eager to remove Morales and his movement from power. For over a decade, the US embassy’s Center of Operations in La Paz has articulated the fact that it has two plans – Plan A, the coup; Plan B, assassination of Morales. This is a serious breach of the UN Charter and of all international obligations. We stand against the coup, and with the Bolivian people. We hope that they will be able to withstand what is thrown against them in the days to come. El Mundo Con Evo. So are we.
