In all honesty and because my budget is smaller(ooerr) I make most of my big payouts through Bingo and Casino/Slot offers. It can get difficult once you exhaust the bookies sign ups but the offers are still there.

I made £35 from Bet365 Champions League offer without having to use Betfair,which is great as it doesnt tie up your Betfair funds.

Go on the Cassava sites and just do the deposit £10 get £20/30/50 or whatever offer they have and avoid the big jackpots and the 1p and 2p ticket games. Dont always buy maximum tickets if it eats too much of your money, spread the tickets around to give yourself more chance of winning. Avoid Virtue Fusion sites until you have more funds,bigger payouts but far less chances of winning as their games are spread across most of the big companies,eg Mecca,Gala,Coral,etc.

I've seemingly finished the game after tonight and completed all of the bonuses - having made a healthy profit, is it worth taking £117 out of this for profit maximiser? 

 

Does it return at the same rate as bonus bagging? Is the effort needed similar? And how much is needed to start off? With BB it was seemingly a couple of ton, do I need to put more into this or the same amount?

Profit maximiser is well worth the money. Plenty of other sign ups and on going others. It's a bit more hands on than BB as you have to work the bets out yourself via the BB calculator but it's easy enough.
