12/13 Team Photo. Where's the 3 handled pot?

Just looking at the new team photo for this season and our League cup seems to have gone missing. Did Kenny take it with him when he got the boot?

Or did Brendan ask for it not to be included? Thought it would have been nice to have it there as we mightn't see any for a bit.

Maybe it's further proof that we exist just to make money these days.

The only time in my memory I can think of a manager taking over while we're the holders of a cup was Joe in 1983, we defo had the league and league cup in the 1983/84 team photo.

It's a load of bollocks that it isn't there.

Ian Ayre decided last season that cups don't matter.

Nah, he didn't. A tit he may well be, straddled on his Harley, but that's not what he said.

Obviously I'm paraphrasing but he said Kenny would have got the boot even if he'd won the FA Cup as we never qualified for the Champions League and a club like us needs to be in the Champions League because of the financial rewards it brings. It may not be what he said verbatim, but the implication is clear.

The implication was about long term, sustained success, rather then one trip to Wembley to beat Cardiff. He was right. For once.
