What's everyone getting so excited about? He'll just be replaced by another Tory cunt to continue fucking up the country

It's time to see if Labour have got another gear to change up to. The Tories are going to be kicking fuck out of each other for the next few months, so Labour need to get into General Election mode now and get people on the doorsteps and in the communities of hundreds of winnable constituencies.

Susanna Reids looking especially lovely this morning. Everytime another resignation is announced she smirks like a Cheshire cat. She despises Johnson, good girl.

She looked good enough to eat this morning,  Absolutely gorgeous

In the immortal words, can anyone sum this up?

Load of Conservatives get rid of an electoral liability in order for them to raid the public purse for their donor class and enact policy from newspaper proprietors for longer.

Beth Rigby on Sky just confirmed he’s staying as PM until a new leader is appointed.

Of course. Not because he wants to do the right thing, or steady the party, but because he doesn't want a shorter time in office than Theresa May. It's all ego.

Seems like they all want him gone ASAP but he wants to stay to shore up his, erm, legacy.

Hopefully the circus will rumble on for a while out.

They can't even say he has done the decent thing as he has literally had to be dragged out of offices

Labour should have a field day with this.

They can't now vote against as they have publicly called for his resigniation and will be seen as huge hypocrites.

He's timed this perfectly.

You're right it's a good move by Starmer and he'll still lose. You seem to be working on the assumption these tory MPs have any shred of dignity. They don't. The Tories have been at it all morning "it's not a point of policy, just personality". They'll just say they have trust in the government and not the leader. They don't care.

Starmer might have won if Johnson hadn't agreed to go and the 1922 blocked a Tory VoNC.

The key thing is Alex saying he'll go, that's the perfect moment.

Any VoNC is against him and they'll have to publicly back him to stay on as PM, with all that brings, or face a GE very soon and all that brings.

Their best option is to go nucelar and throw him out today, that's now the best of all the worst options.

They'll now tie themselves in knots working on the optics and all are bad, but backing Johnson now is suicide after the past day or two meaning Labour got rid of a sitting PM of a disfunctional government whilst these pricks facilitated it's worst excesses, or they turn tail and back him after they got rid of him and resigned and they can never recover from that.

It's beautiful.

They're not going to fuck him off if he won't go. They're already all lapping up government positions in his cabinet reshuffle. It's great because they'll look cunts, but they won't care. And sadly the attention span of the average Tory voter is about 2 days, they'll have forgotten by recess.

They might have to sack him and sack the new incumbents, that's the bigger picture, unless they want the VoNC tabled that's what Starmer is saying.

He goes now, today, or we go postal.

None of the options are good for them and they created this entirely.

'As the official opposition motion, Labour can table a no confidence motion that would have to be debated almost immediately (normally the following day). But motions like this that get priority are motions of no confidence in the government. Tory MPs, even though those critical of Johnson, would almost certainly not vote in favour, because they want a Conservative government and not a general election, which would follow if Labour won.'
