As much as I can’t stand Jess Phillips, I’m not sure she’s said anything wrong there. Surely Johnson’s father is responsible for his own actions, although the fruit hasn’t fallen very far from the tree.

People are, rightly, saying his father's responsible for his own actions. They're also saying that he's a regular on the TV and in the press despite them knowing about at least some of his less than savoury past. And they're also saying that he's only a regular because who his son is. And yet here's Jess, a Labour MP, with very little or nothing to say about any of that, instead pulling out a strawman and reminding everyone not to smear Boris Johnson.

But in the same post she’s having a crack at Boris Johnson for things he has done. So she’s hardly defending him.

I'm not saying she's defending him, but with so much that she could go for without smearing him, I thought it an odd take on the situation. Especially from a member of the Opposition. At least in name.

I would have thought Jeremy Corbyn supporters would be keener than most to emphasise that a politician isn't responsible for what his immediate relatives do.

I think our Jess has had the odd guffaw at Piers Corbyn on national tv/radio in the past, which is why I linked her tweet.

Maybe she has remembered the numerous time a Tory took the time out to defend milliband when his dad was slurred or the numerous character assassinations on corbyn and the likes of johnson came out and defended him.

I think the reason eyebrows were raised regarding Philips strange defence of Johnson's old man was Philips has been known to laugh and joke at Jeremy Corbyns brother. No defence of her leader for his brothers idiotic actions just plenty of guffews and innuendo. J Corbyn and J Philips were in the same political party.

Dunno why it's not working mate?

He Is facing a legal challenge  and is being accused of misfldirecting the law over the patel bullying case.

I've genuinely lost count of the amount of times he has now faced questions over doing what the fuck he wants.
