'The British media and political establishment has never looked so ineffectual and incestuous. The Lebedev scandal isn’t even Profumo – it’s more serious than that. John Profumo slept with an escort, he didn’t hotfoot it out of the country with a possible stash of Nato documents to the mountain lair of an ex-KGB officer whose son he later ennobled.'

Said it before but its utterly jaw dropping how little coverage this story has got.

It's utterly huge

Could you imagine if that was Labour, or gawd help us, Corbyn. It would be an international fucking scandal, covered every single day for months on end. Absolute cunts.

You just can't even imagine what it would be like if corbyn would have done that

I genuinely think he would have got done for being a spy.

My best mate is a Postie. He told me three weeks ago this was going to happen.  Seems like it’s all gonna kick off every where.

I'm assuming honestly nobody quite knows what to do with it and is waiting for what comes out of the committee he said it in. In fact I even wonder if they can't say much beyond reporting it.

As said above though..would the media be as reticent if it was a Labour leader?Even that journalist seems surprised the BBC haven't really gone near it.

I think he knew what he was doing and knew it would be buried with all the stuff about him going.

There's plenty in the media who don't like him and even the rag were the one who called him out on the shit that finally took him down. I just feel there's more to it than meets the eye.

The one that really makes me think there’s a much larger scandal there is Amol Rajan being bezzies with the Lebadevs for years before he took senior roles in the BBC.

Something about that just screams stitch up.

The fuck.

Any attempt by Boris Johnson to “unfairly” install a close ally as head of the National Crime Agency before he leaves No 10 will be thwarted, civil service sources have said.

Reports suggest the prime minister is keen to insert his “friend” Lord Hogan-Howe into one of the most prestigious positions in UK policing as one of his final acts in office.

Not even Monday yet.

This week, like every other one before it under him, is going to be chaos.

Throw in the absolute car crash of a leadership contest and the circus ain’t leaving town anytime soon.

In terms of outrageous scandalous that show he has no business being the prime minister, where does this rank?

Think top 60, maybe late 50s?

Wonder how the wedding party at Chequers went?

Went well, they had a BBQ, Bozza made a 'tub thumping' speech, he was surrounded by cretins, hangers-on and toadies.

They served English wines from Coates & Seely and Balfour.

All in all a good day and all he has on today is a vote of no confidence in his government , which he may, or my not, bother to turn up to.
