Boris Johnson

Why were any of you watching it?

You all sound somewhat disappointed that Laura K is a good friend of the Johnson's?

I think the programme duly delivered what it promised, that Laura K would deliver some soft evening telly which would end with the  Tory voters being able to go to bed safe in the knowledge that they are still geniuses for electing Johnson, and therefore they are still right, like always, and they don't mind paying the license fee because they say things they like now.

You were, fucking awful by Kuensburg, the whistle-blowers were the story and their accounts were damning but Laura couldn't resist going full Laura and started compering his law breaking with the Durham work event and described Johnson as the most gifted politician of his generation. Basically painted him as a bit of a rouge who plays by his own rules and who's huge outlandish  personality makes him different from the norm. It was gunk

Please tell me that 'gifted'quote isn't real.

The vice is tightening a la Casino.

Tbh I don't think it is.

By now you either have come to the conclusion that we are governed by a lying privileged cunt who couldn't give a fuck about whatever laws he has implemented or you are a fucking moron who is just going to parrot the line.

Let's move on/yeah but starmer

I think the constant dripping of photos won't make the slightest bit of difference.

For whatever reason it's undeniable that he's gifted in popularity contests (until recently, maybe still?), but how anyone can claim he's gifted as a politician is a piss take, he's one of the worst politicians imaginable.  Destructive, divisive, damaging.

He's well past the worst now, he's managed to drag this out and with a bit of luck or rather a war in Ukraine he'll flannel this out until it's no longer in the news cycle. Our only hope is that enough of the electorate remember what an absolute self-interested cnut he is, even then their own self-interest will take priority. Big cost of living announcements tomorrow, how convenient?

One of my elderly neighbours is a staunch Tory and has already decided this is all a left wing media conspiracy to bring down Boris.

It doesn’t matter what is in the report. It could detail ritual sexual abuse and, at worst, it would be a 2pt his in the polls that would rebound by 3 next time he speaks about wiffwaff.

You're underselling it.

The report could say he was fucking babies and then eating them but the cabinet and half the population wouldn't give a shit.

Damning, if soft around the edges, but it'll fall on deaf ears.

They broke the laws they wrote, in quite a spectacular and blatant way, they then lied about it, and lied about lying about it, then apologised for being caught, then lied again, then blamed the restrictions, that they wrote, for being too severe and then they told us to move on as it didn't matter as damn near 200, 000 people died and then had the termerity to ask the person conducting the investigation to 'shelve it'.

No investigation in to Carrie's flat party.

Not quite a whitewash, but nowhere near good enough from Gray, or the shamless fat slob squatting in NO10.

Just a normal day at present.
