I am seeing people on LinkedIn defending Boris due to the success he made of the pandemic, Brexit and Afghanistan

Almost as though he deserves a pass on this one due to his leadership on the above issues. Leadership that was lacking and these people cannot be saved from their own stupidity

When they say the success of the pandemic ,I'm assuming they mean that due to the fact that we are only the 7th country in the world to pass the 150,000 death mark?

If they think Afghanistan was in any way a 'success',they should really look up the meaning of the word.

Tbf I'm heard a few people argue that.. Brexit and the virus was a success, stop trying to dismiss his achievements.

Brexit was a success for the low paid.. the official figures on rising wages and vacancies confirm it.. why oh why do  middle class Labour idiots continue to want to shoot the traditional working class in the foot?

Yeah, there was some balloon on Sky earlier parroting the same thing.

'Well he got brexit done and the vaccine roll out, but this is enough now' like the Chairman said above despite what's before people eyes sometimes they need to be told their opinions in soundbites and can't function with having to question it so will double down. Brexit is and continues to be a clusterfuck. Credit where its due the vaccine procurement, Oxford initiative and roll out were great, though that was a gamble and could have backfired, but these were down to people way smarter rolling up their sleeves and getting things done in spite of the government at times. Now we are lagging behind other nations as people drag their feet.

People will remember he 'stood his ground' against the virus and removed restrictions etc and that specific gamble paid off, hopefully. They'll forget all the others that led to the highest death count in Europe and rising, the longest and most severe lock downs of a developed nation due to fucking up and gambling on timing, 'freedom day', largest economic contraction of the G7, the self employed being hung out to dry, billions siphoned off to mates and donors, countless needless carehome deaths due to negligence and a myriad of other literal fatal mistakes, because it's in their psychological interests to be able to say they were right in backing him as the truth would shatter the cosseted little world they have had created for them.

No wonder they are embracing the vaccine.

Apart from that its been an utter catastrophe from start to finish.

How the fuck do we live in a society where there’s even the slightest possibility that the Prime Minister could retain his job over something like this!

I appreciate there’s a good chance that he may not but, given everything, it’s not inconceivable that he will somehow cling on to power.

This is one fucked up country.
