From Wikipedia: "He dismisses worries over foreign ownership and investment in the British economy such as that of Chinese and French companies' involvement in the British energy market."

So he's fine with a foreign power building Hinkley C ... a new nuclear power station may be a necessary evil for the short term but one that's built by a foreign power? Someone who supports him needs to persuade me that this is the best option.

I was surprised they picked Davey, I thought they would be looking to cut their ties with the coalition government given how they’ve polled since.

To be honest I hope the Lib Dems start getting their shit together, we could with them taking 30 to 40 seats off the Tories in the south if we’re to get the despicable bastards out at the next election.

Arf.

Davey doesn’t appear to be the man with the charisma to spark a revival. Nor someone to necessarily safeguard the remaining 6%. Maybe then the election was less a leadership contest and more an entry for the annual Darwin awards. Now that would be something. The first political party to contribute to human evolution by selecting itself out of the gene pool and becoming extinct via its own actions.

Slim pickings though. Reminds me of a news story I saw years ago about a Mexican town appointing a teenage girl as chief of police because everyone else had been beheaded.
