I suppose as that character he doesn't really ever need to 'fight' as such. As Bond he would need to be more physical. Besides, Roger Moore got by despite a lack of fighting skills.

I just feel that fight scenes are becoming more intense and inventive. I could be wrong and he actually does look very awkward and unnatural. Roger Moore did the karate chop on the shoulder and then flipped rolled baddies big time.

Imagine a film nowadays with them chops though.....

I watched an interview with him, I hope hes a good actor because he really doesn't give off the vibes of a trained killer. He lacks menace.

I don't have a clue who he is to be honest but I wish him luck and hope he has a thick skin as we all know what coming if he gets the role.

On the lacks menace bit, that was getting thrown at Daniel Craig before the first film when he said he didn't like guns or violence, he didn't have the charm etc. But I think he's done pretty well as Bond, alot closer to the books than Moore and most of the others.

I think Daniel Craig definitely has that menacing look. I know he had the not handsome enough thrown at him. Id seen Daniel Craig in  a couple of things before Bond and he was intimidating. Its why Pierce Brosnan was shit. I guess its how they style the films if they go back to all charm and no balls like the Pierce Brosnan films it won't matter. I'm not a Bond fan regardless.

Pierce Brosnan looked like Bond and was fairly charismatic. However, the films were mostly run-of-the-mill action films. Casino Royale is a very good film, but Daniel Craig is like a poor man’s Steve McQueen.

It's a bit like who is your favourite Doctor Who. The answer is mostly going to be based who was Bond at a certain age.

With that in mind, mine would have been Moore. Especially if you're talking about bond in the sense of everything before Craig. But if you're talking about good films with a proper action hero character it has to be Craig.

The rest weren't convincing secret service agents.

Tom Baker is definitely my favourite James Bond

Sean Connery an Austin Martin DB5 and wearing a Slazenger jumper….Does it get any cooler ?

I had the Corgi toy model of the DB5 when I was a kid, complete with the bullet proof shield at the back and the ejector seat. If I'd have kept it in it's box and stored it safely it'd be worth a fortune now.

Bastards never told you anything in those days.

Watching The Rock (class film), read some banter online once that Connery's character is actually James Bond. Thoughts?

Never heard that before but just found this, passed 20 minutes;
