Honourable mentions for Coates and Shelvey who seemed to grow into the game as it went along. Skrtel would have been my MotM, but for the back pass. But he did score our first premier league goal of the season.

 

I don't think this was one of Gerrard's better games and he looked knackered after 80 mins. At least from where I was sitting.
