True, but he created the chance for Spain by fallin far behind the other defenders.

Damn right. Sums David Luiz perfectly that moment. Most people are too busy concentrating on the player on the ball to notice his deficiencies. He was country miles behind the other three defenders which is the very reason why Spain created such a good chance in the first place. Irrespective of the clearance, that was ridiculously awful positioning.

But, I don't what happened with Arbeloa. His positioning has always been one of his fortes, but his marking on that second goal was as bad as Luiz', and it wasn't the only occasion in the first half.

This isn't down to how Spain play, it's down to the shit performance of the players tonight. If they were on their game no way would Brazil have had the chance to do what they've done here. I honestly think the atmosphere has just intimidated them. How else could you explain the fact that they can't even string passes together when they're almost constantly one of the best teams in the world at it?

the atmosphere has certainly played a part. spain have been booed in this confed cup since day 1, if they are passing around in the back, the brazilian crowd heckles them.

certainly different from the way they are usually adored by other crowds.
