Those six players cost about £75m. They could afford to pay their best players more money if they didn't pay every 12 year old at the club £25k a week.

Look at their record transfer though. I think its Arshavin at around £15m.

Sure we've signed close to a whole team of players that have cost that more.

Yet they've consistently finished above us.

BBC Sport - Premier League spending breaks £4bn barrier over last decade

Look at the gap between Arsenal in 6th and the top 5 in that time. Yet they've finished in the top 4 every year despite the fact they cannot compete with the amount of money Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea & City have spent over the last 10 years.

And if you look at this from August 2011: Arsenal’s net spending of £48m in a decade puts them 9th in Premier League « Sporting Intelligence

They had actually spent less (net) than Stoke, Sunderland & Aston Villa at the time.

from the BBC texy commentary:

How about a 'brilliant handball'?

Both trying to gain an unfair advantage but one is acceptable on the football field, known as a tactical foul and the other not so.

Wrote a decent first blog pretty much about this issue if anyone is interested.

Pretty sure it's Torres's as it's a possessive apostrophe?

It can be both although the Apostrophe Protection Society prefers quote Torres's unquote.

In practical terms though, where a word ends in an s, it's acceptable to drop the s after the apostrophe so Torres's and Torres' are both correct. Bit like staiums and stadia meaning more than one stadium.
