Atkinson is a joke. He gave a yellow for a simple challenge against Bale then ignored the leg choppers against other players. Not sending off the Real player makes a farce of the rules - doubt he'll be invited back to the CL.

I wouldn't have minded if he hadn't just put all the under performing players straight back into the team for the next game. Thought it was the correct decision to drop a few and it was probably our best performance in Europe this season; as pathetic as that sounds.

People forget we also put out a strange team against Basle.

As Rodgers and his boys were focused on trying to qualify for next years Champions League, fucking mental.

Liverpool team: Mignolet, Johnson, Enrique, Lovren, Skrtel, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Gerrard, Sterling, Lambert

Subs: Jones, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Lallana, Coutinho, Markovic

He wasn't dropping underperforming players though, that's a fallacy, he was chucking the match.

A good season for the Italians so far in Europe with Juventus victory.

Updated UEFA ranking for 2014/15 season (5/5/2015):

1- Italy 18.5

2- Spain 18.357

3- Germany 15.571

4- England 13.571

5- France 10.916

Tottenham and Liverpool should think twice before binning the Europa League next season.
