Absolutely crazy happenings at the Hoffemheim-Leverkusen match where Leverkusen lead 2-0:

 

 

Real controversy in Hoffenheim! Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling raises his hands to his temples after planting a free header into the Hoffenheim side-netting. He knows he should have done better.

But wait! The ball creeps through a hole in the net and is given as a goal by the referee. Unbelievable. Hoffenheim are understandably going nuts, but the referee is unrepentant. Think a disciplinary will be heading your way, ref. That is a shocker.

First bet I've won in a very long time had given up for ages! Thought Roma won that game with Napoli having most of the play. Napoli didn't take there chances luckily for me.

 

Just seen that Kiessling goal, how the fuck did that fit through the hole in the side netting?? I've watched it over and over and still don't get how that happened.

just seen Townsend's new contract at Spurs is for £16,000 a week apparently which if so whilst its an astronomical amount for most of us fair play to the lad for signing it, even though I'm not convinced he really is going to be a top level player given he is 22 and has spent most his career on loan at football league clubs never really pulling up any trees the last week of his career alone could've seen him commanding treble that salary with other clubs sniffing around so fair play to him for not taking the piss

 

shows how bad football has got when a lad with 2 england caps and about 15 appearances for his club comes across well for having the deceny to sign a contract many of us would love to have!

Apparently Geoff Hurst was out on the Goodison pitch at half-time, carrying the ball which may not have crossed the line in 1966. 

 

Something poetic about that, at the house of excuses.

 

We should get Collina out on the Anfield pitch at full-time whenever we next beat them, carrying the ball which definitely crossed the line in 2005.

Brechin are 3-1 up on Rangers at the moment. Them African kids might not be that bad after all!

 

Sadly, the wee African laddies of Brechin couldnae hold oot against the blue half of Glasgow with an over-inflated sense of place. Game finished 4-3 to Rangers.
