I think its going to be keyhole mate. Having an ultrasound scan first so they can work out how best to proceed. Bloods and urine tests indicate that the bile duct is blocked with a stone.

Haven't had the surgery yet, possibly tomorrow. Its Friday night here now, hopefully surgery sometime Saturday then home on Sunday. Been here since Wednesday night, the nurses are lovely (some of them pleasing to the eye also) but I'm just sick of being here now.

 

Fuck knows how people cope being in hossie for weeks/months. I'd go fucking mental.

Monday for the surgery now. On the plus side they let me out on day release to have some time with the family. Be the same tomorrow too then back to Nil by Mouth on Sunday evening ready to be macheted open on Monday morning.

Ended up having the surgery early Monday afternoon. All went well, and I'm now at home recovering, minus one gallbladder and with with six more holes in my body than what I went in with. I'm told they'll heal up though, and I'll be back to the usual amount in no time.

 

The gallstones were whoppers as well.
