It's also weird that in this day and age so much is unknown about back pain (most of it is 'non-specific') and there are so many different opinions in professional circles.

Yes - I know a few who’ve had trouble with their backs for years. They never seem to be able to get it totally sorted. Hopefully mine is just a minor problem.

Back pain is the worst pain ever. Wouldn't wish it upon anyone.

I'm currently into day 7 of a 10 day dose of antibiotics to clear a sinus infection that has me floored. All colours of the rainbow coming out of my nose and my face feels squashed. Never had anything like it.

I burnt my thumb and finger picking up a fork that had been left on the induction hob. Fuck me that was painful. It’s alright now but I had it in iced water for hours.

It does but if you've ever watched the "girl with 97% burns" think you would man up. It cured me feeling sorry for myself after hernia op.

Came on this thread to share an ailment and noticed I’ve posted quite a bit already.

I really am falling apart.

The last couple of days it’s been an arthritic knee. A decent amount of pain, struggling to bend it. As you do, I’ve also over compensated and my hamstrings are feeling tight and my shins sore.

I was an unmentionable genius in my youth. I guess I’m paying for those gifts now.

Been having trouble in both knees.

Got out the results of double MRI back.

Severe tricompartmental osteoarthritis, partially torn ACL, and various torn off bits of cartilage in right knee.

Torn meniscus in left knee.

Both require surgery.

Doc prescribed T4’s to help sleep through the pain in the meanwhile.

Fuck.

My missus (41) has had problems with her shoulder for a fair old while, and has had surgeries, after fucking it up trying to avoid falling off a horse years ago.

after rounds of steroid and other forms of treatment for frozen shoulder more lately, she’s now been finally diagnosed after latest MRI and X-ray today as having osteoarthritis in it, and been told she wont be a candidate for replacement surgery until she’s 50.

as it stands she can’t ride a bike, swim, do anything requiring mobility of her arm or shoulder and it’s gonna really get her down (and in turn affect me and our family life!)

Anyone got advice for pain relief/management and diet which might actually have an affect?

shes sent me a link to a diet booklet which is basically fruit, veg and oily fish - which is all fine.

any other experiences or successes out there?

cheers

My deepest sympathies.

I too can't wait to see the state my hips are in through 1000' of dives. The toes on my left foot repeatedly 'crack' from big kicks and most of my fingers have been broken. Arthritis is looming.

Anyone use CBD oil for pain and inflammation relief?

wjete do you start with CBD oil?

My mother does, reckons it really helps. She’s seventy five and has Parkinson’s. Says it helps with the anxiety her condition brings as well, particularly when she’s out and about.

Not really an option. She’s a bizzie.

Six, maybe nine litres of Lambrini a day will sort out whatever the pain is. Whatever’s left of her after that you’ll probably end up spending more time with. Win/win. Probably.

Seriously though, I know personally and anecdotally most people thinking that oil is crap. Yet still, there are people that say it helps them so it’s probably worth a go if you can afford it. If it’s serious pain though you need to see a doctor.
