If it is £12m, it's steep, but it's eclipsed by some of the fees we paid over the last 18 months. I think he'll do well. Really pleased to see young, talented players like him being sought out.

He's deffo got character.

Italian lad training in the Chelsea youth team, bosses it.

Sent to Swansea on loan, nails it, doesn't complain.

Flogged to Roma/Parma, owns it.

Scoring goals at a club like Roma, that's not an easy place to go either, bit like here. But he's not fazed, just does it.

“Fabio’s a wonderful talent. I tried to get him earlier on in the season, but hopefully people will see why I have brought him in now. I remember him at 16 when Chelsea took him in from Bologna. I knew that he had a special talent.”

Know fuck all about the lad, therefor I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do and hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised. I'd much rather take a chance on a kid like this than paying double for some British no mark like Darren Bent who we'd probably have went for in the past couple of seasons. I'll trust the managers judgement, and havin worked with him twice before he will know him more than most and know if the lad is cut out for it.

Actually thinking about it I'd prefer that he's just plain shit rather than being teased over the next few years. I really don't want to have to go through another Ryan Babel situation. Of course, being 'fucking brilliant' is the preferred option.
