France won the world cup in 98 with Stefan Guivarch, so I am not sure that you need a striker. Germany could win this championship with Gomez who is not really much better than Pauletta, or Nuno Gomez for that matter.

As Alan Hansen said France proved you could win without a good striker, Brazil (82) proved you can't win without a gpod defence.

If you cant love a country who have produced players like Futre, Figo, Costa, Pinto, Sousa, Quaresma, C.Ronaldo etc you migth as well just give up football and start watching bowling.

Like I've said before, if they even had a half decent striker they would have won at least 3-4 international titles since 1996, superb team.

thats like seeing we should like Man Utd because they've produced Beckham, Giggs, Scholes etc

we dislike them because they are cunts just like Portugal

.

Gomez not better than Nuno Gomes and Pauletta? So you are saying that a player with 55caps/25goals with German national team and 94/64g for Bayern and 121/63g for Stuttgart is no better than those two? He is 26 and already he has played in 2 Champions League finals, an EURO final (didn't play much) and was 3rd with Germany on WC (didn't play that much again) (not including German Budnesliga with both Bayern and Stuttgart) and he scores at least 25-30 goals per season. Which natural striker/poacher was better this season? Or last two or three seasons for that matter? Excluding Messi and CR who are not typicall strikers. Please, do enlighten me.. He's not exactly a joy to watch, but he does scores important goals on a regular basis, wheter you like it or not.

Czechia are bigger cheats then Portugal and im happy that those fuckers are out, two Liverpool players and that stupid country ruined one possible glorious day for my national team back in 2000 and i hope they win fuck ALL ever again.

The Czech team won all their ten matches of their Euro 2000 qualifying campaign. However, the very first of these games should have never been won by them.

This game was really an anticlimax from the start to the end, as Faroese fog - og so typical - covered the compact and otherwise spectacular and unusual Svangaskarð stadium, situated almost at the top of a mountain.

It was diffucult for spectators, never mind TV cameras, to follow this game, in which the strong Faroese side, with Todi Jónsson, Uni Arge and many others on top of their careers, were equal opponents to the Czechs and had some good opportunities to score and probably even win the game.

But it wasn't to be. With only four minutes of normal time left and the score still goaless, the Czechs provided one of the most disgusting actions in the whole competition's long history.

At first, John Petersen was elbowed and fell to the ground. The Faroese kicked the ball out, so their partner could get a medical assistance. Then Pavel Nedvěd was sent off for his verbal attack on the referee. As the play should resume, the Faroese players clearly expected their opponents to send the ball back to them - but were badly mistaken! Instead, the ball was thrown to Patrik Berger, who made a short run on the wing and crossed to Vladimír Šmicer, who scored easily pass Jákup Mikkelsen. All the Faroese players and supporters were shocked and stunned by such an unsporty behaviour, shown by some of the finest European professional footballers. The referee had nothing to do but to allow the goal stand. This proved to be the Czech winner.

I just do not see what Ozil has that wins him such acclaim. As an attacking midfielder in the teams he plays for, he should score way more than he does too.

And fuck off Greece. What a waste of space, fuck off with your shit tactics - they are the Bolton (Allardyce's) of International football. Horrible, shithouse twats.
