Wouldn't be shocked if after his contract is up and he's had a break if he just moved to International management or even retires

Klopp sounds really pissed off.

He seemed pissed off in general. Hopefully the ESL makes everybody realise a shake up of the calendar is needed.

Guardiola was going mad about it earlier as well. He reckons Citeh have had a midweek game every week this season - apart from some of them had COVID19 and they won 16 or whatever on the bounce that is.

I wouldn’t have been surprised if this was the case before this week.

No.

I think the CL has gone too far and the new expansion is going further still.

I still romanticise the European cup and think it lost a lot of its pull when you could play a team from your own country 4 times during the competition, as an extreme example. Playing Barcelona bis great because it doesn't happen every 2 weeks, maybe every 2 years if lucky.

Having 6 teams from your own country and playing each other so often would completely negate the point of big European nights.

Pretty much agree with Scooby. To me the biggest element of my ire, aside from the greed of course,is that the teams speaking about it would not all have qualified for it anyway. Being able to qualify or miss out is the beauty of football even if the modern day game is awash with cash for a small group. That needs winding back, not continuing.

Terms of reference for fan-led review.

The Terms of Reference will look at the existing Ownership and Directors’ tests and whether they are fit for purpose and if there is further scope to extend the criteria. While foreign ownership has undoubtedly benefited the development of the game, the review will seek to test whether existing oversight is sufficient to protect the interests of the game.

In addition, the review will assess the need for an independent football regulator, charged with implementing regulation and compliance, and how that might work within the existing framework provided by the Football Association, Premier League and English Football League. It will also look at ownership models, including but not limited to the fan-owned model in Germany, and examine the merits of these.

The review will add to the recommendations of the English Football League’s Governance Review and the Government’s 2016 Expert Working Group on Football Supporter Ownership and Engagement. It will also look at football governance around the world and how models of ownership and dialogue structures can be integrated into the game to improve the fan experience.

The review will seek to:

  • Assess existing scrutiny of club finances and administrative reporting
  • Appraise financial flows through the whole football pyramid
  • Examine geographical, historical and identity protections for clubs
  • Examine club interests and league systems and how these interact within the pyramid

Eh? You need to stop buying your chocolate from St Johns Market. Swiss and Belgian chocolate is ace. In terms of chocolate that is readily available in this country and relatively inexpensive, Lindt is nice.

These cunts have turned everything positive over the past 2 years into shite through their utter incompetence, short sightedness, greed and tight ass spending and not backing the nest manager they have hadxor will ever had.

They are just utterly full of shit and  if they try the same shit this summer then they need to be legged out the club like the other two cancers were.

The past two years were bad but January was ridiculous. Waiting to the last day to get two defenders on the cheap. One of who was simply signed to sell on.

Sick of the over cautios approach to getting the Anfield road end done as well. Simply because it won't be as profitable for them as the main stand.

Can't wait until they start with the "Its hard to sign players without CL football" bullshit. Cunts didn't sign anyone while we were in it and won it.

Not entirely true. Jota. Thiago. Shaqiri. Keita. Fabinho. All since losing to Real in the CL final

They'd be mad to sell so they won't.

£100m lost due to Covid the £300m + gone from the ESL sign up.  Don't be surprised if it's only sell to buy as usual.

Honestly mate I was pissed off with them and have been for a while but the utter shite they pulled last week by trying to pull us out of the European cup and take away great nights like we have had in the past in Europe is frankly unforgivable and proves they don't have a clue what this club is about.

Oh and "Legacy fans"

For me this euorpean super league was a first step to slowly taking the club out of the local community and away from the fans.

I could imagine them setting up thr ESL and after a few seasons start playing home games in different locations around to world to reach their precious "Modern fans" and using Anfield less and less.

That might sound a bit out there but after last week I wouldnt put it past them.

Doesn’t matter. Keep making the same inaccurate points to find the real truth.

I'm glad that my very low opinion, and expectations, of FSG has stood me in good stead throughout the more recent debacles. Long term success on the pitch was never their aim, thankfully Klopp has delivered us something short term and given us the highest highs.

FSG are always disappointing, but it's never a shock.

These cunts are turning down 3 billion pound offers for the club, and still we operate on a sell to buy model for transfers?

A few years out of champions league and their investment value will tank. Maybe that'll wake them up.

I have to be honest, I find that extremely difficult to believe.

They would get 10 times what they paid for us in the first place, nobody in their right mind would turn that over down, not a chance

Especially with this super league virtually dead and buried. Think it was what they were hanging on for. They've owned us for ten years and have made minimal investment.
