Not sure any of those players fit what we do.

Gallagher is an interesting one where he looks great on TV but his underlying numbers in key area's are atrocious, that might be the role he's asked to play or the overall team tactics but a top club will need to be sure that it's scalable/an issue with age/development before looking at him as a legitimate signing for the amount he would cost.

Against midfielders he's in the bottom 11% for passes attempted, bottom 10% for pass completion, bottom 3% for progressive passes made, bottom 30% for progressive carries, yet scores highly in dribbles, touches in the attacking areas, progressive passes received, shots, goals.

Against attacking midfielders and wingers he fairs far worse.

You could almost say he’s like a very highly-priced breakfast, for which the price paid bears no resemblance to the product on the plate, particularly when compared to better value items on offer elsewhere to more discerning patrons.

I, for one have no desire for the quadruple and am absolutely giddy about the 'record money generated trophy.' It completely eclipses the Florida Cup and puts the Blooshite firmly in the shade.

Need to win the record noodle sponsorship deal to draw level with the Mancs too

Good point about Gallagher. I always oddly see him on the far left of all these statistical graphs for midfielders and it doesnt feel right, but you for sure have to take it into account.

No excuse to not massively back Jurgen in the summer now.

Two great midfielders and another forward will do.

Although I 100% agree midfield needs looking at as priority 1 & 2, given we’ve already spent £38-50m on Diaz, we likely need to lower our expectations on an attacker (depending on who leaves).

Revenue is expected to rise to around £650m next season according to Mo Chatra, author of that tweet above. Think that is around what Man Utd are earning at the moment.

All our success recently and we only just match what they earn whilst they have been crap for years. Show how big they are as a money making juggernaut if we need to win nearly everything in a season to get close.

John Henry looked like a corpse at the match.

Alternatively we've caught them up from the lowest position you can be in (administration aside) in 12 years when they had a 20+ year head start.

True but its how we look if we're not racking up the silverware in the future. Can we get to uniteds level of always bringing in the money. It certainly feels like we are having a fan base growth again.

I get the impression a lot of their money is grandfathered in from long sponsorships signed when they were good. I heard a few times about one of the terms of Adidas was if they spend more than 2 seasons outside the CL then their yearly payment to united drops by a few tens of millions.

If they stay shit for a bit longer then their finances might start taking some hits.

And on the flip side, if we stay good then we can get our own lucrative contracts and sponsorships to give us a safety net if things dip a bit.
