I assume so, unless his ban was extended as it was "violent conduct" I'm pretty sure it was only a 3 match ban though.

You can't push a player in the penalty area and expect to get away with it. He was rightly not send off, but lucky the ref didn't completely botch that decision.

If we appeal the ban is upheld while they consider our appeal, which will be thrown out and Doni will be banned for a further 1 game - after he has played against Everton.

We should appeal. Doni is a better keeper than Jones and it would be better if he played in the semi. Jones looked a bag of nerves to me and I think he has more mistakes in him, and the big Wembley occasion will probably draw them out. So, Doni to play in the semi, then after that it is irrelevant whether it is a 3 or 4 game ban as Reina is back.

 

I haven't seen much of Jones but I'm just going on how he looked against Blackburn. I was made up for the peno save, and like everyone else, I'm gutted for the fellas about his little lad. But as a keeper he looks to me as though he has mistakes in him, so Doni would be better for Wembley.

Because a failed appeal of a straight red adds one game to the ban. Derry just got his increased to 4 games even though young was offside and dove. Fucking disgrace the FA are.
