Had some bad news today with Peddlers Cross being switched to race in the Jewson. Had a tenner on for non stop at 9's whose price will only grow now. So far I'm on..

Steps to Freedom in the supreme novice

Al Ferof in the Arkle (paddy power give you your stake back if the favourite Sprinter Sacre wins)

Got on Kauto @12's when news first broke of his fall

Cloudy Lane in the foxhunter chase

Hollow Tree in the Triumph

Sire De Grugy in the County Hurdle

Doing the Thursday in a marque on the side of the course and joining the rest of the nutters on the friday. Hoping to cover my beer money.

I would be very surprised if Sizing Europe doesn't retain the 2 ile chase title. The ground might be on the dry and quick side for Hurricane Fly, but he will still take the beating in the Champion.

Looking forward to seeing Alferof vs Peddlars Cross in the Arkle.

Grand Crus looks the real good thing of the meeting, well, after Big Bucks obviously.

Went on the opening day last year. Brilliant.

Sizing Australia came home in the penultimate race which meant i went home £150 up. Which is impressive considering we started on the ale at 6.30, and we paid Cheltenham prices from 11.

Gutted i won't be there this year, those of you who are - lucky bastards.

Not a seasoned gambler but going to have a go tomorrow.

I am going to do £1.50 e/w 7 horse accumulator ..

1.30 Steps to Freedom

2.05 Sprinter Sacre

2.40 Baile Anrai

3.20 Hurricane Fly

4.00 Balthazar King

4.40 Quevega

5.15 Thatlldo

Returns £116,707.50.

Tempted by a single on Cue Card in 2.05 as well. Paddy Power seem to be offering a money back special - they will refund any losing bets (up to £100) if Sprinter Sacre wins.

So nothing to lose I guess

I've got Steps to Freedom and Galileo's Choice at 9's and 12's respectively in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle. I know the sum of fuck all about horse racing so I expect to be here tomorrow afternoon complaining I lost both bets. At least I'm off work this week so I'll be able to shout at the telly while they fall over.

1:30 - Steps To Freedom or Montbazon

2:05 - Al Ferof

2:40 - Our Mick

3:20 - Hurricane Fly (double with Quevega)

4:00 - Sizing Australia (as a Sopranos fan, I should do Uncle Junior)

4:40 - Quevega (see Hurricane Fly above)

5:15 - Bless The Wings and Charminster.

Singles, a few e/w patents and the above mentioned double. Main bet of the day will be the double and Steps to Freedom in the first. Also, going to a few £1 e/w accumulators for all 7 races. Would win between £64k to £143k depending on picks if they all win.
