Carra

Recommended Posts

Kenny has benched Carra half the season. He didn't get back in the team until Agger (inevitably) broke down again.

He played until he was injured though. It wasn't before that the partnership of Skrtel/Agger blossomed. He would have been insane to break that up to put Carra back in - even the most xenophobic of our supporters would have had trouble understanding that. Carra's injury spared Kenny of a difficult decision that way.

You are complaining about people commenting on Carragher's poor performance because "Skrtel gave away a penalty". Retarded logic.

Great way of dodging my question there.

Point out to me where I said he was immune from criticism.

Dodged the question? Haha!

People are (rightly) commenting on his poor performance today, you've come in and had a tantrum about how it was the other centre back that gave away a penalty. What does that have to do with anything unless it's your weird way of defending Carragher?

Would it be fair to say you're slightly thick?

A tantrum? Haha. I pointed something out. Hardly a tantrum, then you said I was saying 'he was immune of criticism'. Have you a bad memory?

You haven't said verbatim your an idiot either, but your performance in this thread highly suggests so.

Defending a Liverpool legend suggests Im an idiot? Ok then. And you calling me an idiot is the funniest thing Ive read in here in a long time.

Yeah, you pointed something out which has no relevance to the thread. Seemed like you despised the thought of Carragher getting criticised and had to try and palm all the blame on to Skrtel instead. He was shit aswell, it doesn't have to be one or the other you know.

Yeah, and defending Carra doesnt mean I'm defending him for the sake of it. Ive been saying he's finished for ages.

He made a mistake today that cost us.. (skrtle could have done better), and has on a few other occasions earlier this season, but my biggest concern with him playing is how deep we sit!

Wigan's second goal should never have happened as they were allowed to pass the ball unchallenged all the way up to 30 yards out... At home against Wigan that should never happen!! Stay higher up the pitch, press aggressively and as a team, but that's not possible when the backline drops down to our penalty box as soon as we lose possession...

A couple of times today the gap between our midfield and defense was criminal...

Headed clearances to strikers in 6yd box tend to leave your partner with limited options.

Straw clutching indeed.

I'll challenge everyone in the world to head that ball 4 yeards further out having to throw themselves backwards to actual make contact with the ball like Carra did,

I'm not Carra's biggest fan by any means, some might suggest I'm not a fan at all, but I will always have a problem with people trying to pin the blame on people who in reality are pretty blameless for the situation and they are given the blame for.

I think it was Caroll pretending to be a defender that caused a lot of the problems for the winner at least.

If I was Riena I'd be banging on Kennys door and asking why the fuck does AC a 35million pound center forward have to double as a sweeper simply because he is tall whilst you leave a 6ft 6 specialist center half on the bench. (who incidentally is a better finisher than AC)

You are of course right, but completely wrong. He should have glanced it to Reina who was less than 4 yds away, or alternatively put it into touch which was also less than 4 yds away. But instead he attempted a clearing header that was impossible given that he hadn't read the flight well enough and hence was under the ball attempting to head forward while running backwards from a one-legged leap. Of course it's impossible. That is exactly the problem. It's the same pattern that has been repeated for a couple of years now. Wrong decisions under pressure.

Its been that way in a lot of games this year. Even with Agger and Skrtel on the pitch when we don't have somebody doing the designated DM role, we look like we're inviting teams to take the piss in between the lines.

Its worse when Carra is on though because at least with Agger in there the defence pushes on a bit.

But in saying that though, its hardly been the reason we've done so shit this year. Lack of goals is.

Its just that lack of goals + occasional but not very often take the piss defending + nobody protecting the back 4 anyway = Shite!

For the penalty today, yo can trace it all theway back to Jay spearings criminally short lay off to a team mate at the edge of the box, which led to the spot kick. Simple as.

Carraghers header was short, but with no pace on the ball, that was likely to happen, and Player of the season Skrtel made a bad mistake, but the whole move can be traced back to Jay. Sorry Jay.

Bottom line....................... We have too many players who are not good enough to play for this great football club......... And the sad thing is most of them werebought int the last 12-18 months........
