Best foreign Films

I have been a world cinema snob due to being very anti subtitles. However I watched Pans Labrynth the other day and realised that I can watch foreign films without subtitles being much of an issue.

 

I have The Devils Backbone on my SKY box and would like some more recommendations.

Watched "Z" last night.

 

French movie about a 1960s Greek political assasination. Very good movie.

 

"The Three Colours": a loose trilogy based on the French "liberty, equality, fraternity".

 

"The Bicycle Thief". An examination of post-war Italian socioeconomics.

 

"Swept Away By A...." Another Italian movie, a comedy about class warfare and the relationship between the sexes.

Yep, that's excellent too - not a patch on the original IMO, but still really good.
