He isn't. Reality.

EDIT : Honest professional Parker slipping to let Holland in, and trying to haul the player down in an honest rugby-tackle fashion. What an honest professional.

Both are averaged paced, but Parkers superior positioning gives him the edge in that regard. Parker is more industrious with his passing and he is involved more as he shows more for the ball and makes himself available to receive a pass when he releases one, jobs never done in that regard. He does not make as many dangerous fouls as Lucas and he is an option all over the pitch unlike Lucas also in the last third on top of all this he also score goals.

Again everything Lucas does, Parker does it better and he has done so since his Charlton days.

Lucas is always available for the pass, his movement before he got injured was superb and he has been alot more industrious with his passing aswell. Personally i think lucas is a better passer with a better touch. Parker as you say gets forward more frequently and can cause problem for teams with those sorts of burts, in that regard he as the edge.

And 'since his Charlton days'....give over.

Lucas's positioning is much better than Parker's. Parker moves around a lot, but flatters to deceive. Lucas is more economical in his movement, but it's more intelligent. Lucas is always available for a pass. Lucas also keeps it simple and if there is a player better able to affect the game than him he'll pass it off. Parker may score the odd goal more but he plays further forward. He gives away more silly fouls than Lucas - and Lucas has reduced those to almost non-existence. And when the chips are down Lucas is more of a fighter than Parker could ever hope to be - see the Arsenal game.

Lucas is the better player. Parker is a press show pony.
