Top priorities in the summer have to be;

 

Creative attacking midfielder

Right winger

Cover for defensive midfield

another striker

We need a back up for Pepe and a back up for Belford.

We probably won't sign anyone with any of those attributes.

 

We'll probably sign 2 or 3 21 years olds who whilst far from poor are no where near ready to help us become a better team in the here and now.

I think I already know what I want to happen this summer.

 

At the moment I'd sell - Carroll, Downing, Kuyt, Maxi, Adam... these players would have to do something impressive to change my mind. I like Maxi & Kuyt, but given the wages they are on and their age - we could get better players.

 

I wouldn't buy a replacement for Adam. With Lucas, Gerrard, Shelvey, Spearing, Henderson we are fine and in emergencies Coady can get a chance.

 

I would like to see a striker bought and at least two wide players, I'd promote Sterling to the first team squad.

 

Who we get depends whether we get top four or not. If we do try and get Cavani, Hazard and maybe Hulk. They'd be expensive - but we should recoup a fair bit from those sales.

 

If we don't get top four - Comolli is going to have to find us some gems from somewhere.

Eden Hazard should be our main target. He's the player we should have, but probably couldn't, signed when we signed Downing. Another striker wouldn't hurt. Maybe Bojan Krkic who hasn't hit it off like he should have at Roma, but he's definitely got potential.
