Summer Transfer Thread 2012

Sessègnon? no no no. Unless Wilshere, Bale, Van Persie & a couple of others become available then we should forget about signing Premiership players. There is far far better talent & at a much cheaper price elsewhere. The myth of players settling is just that too. I couldn't care less if a player had Premiership experience or not. Its about quality this summer. We need a top, top class striker not some 'rough diamond' impressing at dreary Sunderland with their 'direct' football. He's another heskey.

I think its obvious we simply have to add some genuine quality in terms of pace, skill and creativity.

If we don't do that we're going to see the same thing next season where we struggle in shitloads of games to beat teams who park it up against us and I really really don't fucking want that.

Whats the name of that winger that plays for Dortmond?

Grosskreutz, Gotze and Kagawa are a fearsome attacking midfield trio, with Lewandowski up front, really superb team to watch, can see interest in Klopp intensifying in the summer should he guide them to consecutive championships, they've also got another classy young player arriving in the summer called Marco Reus, they've a great transfer system in place.

Because, aside from those things you've mentioned already, they are Bayern Munich - and they are a massive club. A European giant. Take away all the money, the history, the long and distinguished list of ex-players and great teams, the massive, brilliant modern stadium, the record number of trophies - and they are still Bayern Munich. Players understand this, and as such - probably want to play for them.

... and they offer CL football every year. (years without are total aberrations)
