I must be getting old, as I don’t like drinking loads before a game. 2 or 3 pints maximum as I want to enjoy the game. Even when I was a young fella in my 20s I could never understand people arriving at the ground bladdered.

Except for European aways, I've never had a drink before a match. I just can't be bothered until after the match.

Some 16pg pullout on the league cup. It was mentioned on twitter this morning. It might be a bit shit for all I know but it's 6 years since we won a cup so I'm lapping it up.

I'm having one....dont know when I've been this excited

The official blurb recommends travelling to Wembley Park tube station. Assuming there will be nowhere to go any where there, Willesden Green, one stop short looks handy.

There's a lovely looking pub there called the Queensbury - leather chairs, beautiful decor, ornate furnishings, 40,000 scousers - I bet they'll be made up to see us!
