  1. 1. Breaded or quar?

    • Tasty crispy breadcrumb coating.
    • Sloppy, tasteless, badly deep fried shite batter.

In New Jersey once I had some battered onion rings and they were fabulous. Crisp light batter and they were size of toilet seats. Fabulous. There should be a 3rd option here regarding proper batter, as that would win easy unless mentalists are involved in this poll.

By the amount of times you used the word 'fabulous' in that paragraph I would say you must have great fashion sense and interior design skills.

i got a battered onion ring from the chippy the other night.

It was about the same size as a small pizza.

Now,either the italian fuckers in Dublin are genetically engineering onions or else it was not an onion inside. Delicious all the same.

i say battered

Thats me you're talking too

Have you tried your breaded onion rings with chilli dipping sauce....and a cold beer

Sounds fairly tasty.

I thought most breaded were then subsequently battered and fried? I prefer the breaded texture, that's for sure. The batter should be made with beer.

I am the Anti-Numero and pro-champ- Breaded, Beanless and Mince my pie

Well my breaded onion rings are baked so no fat or batter go near them.

I like the salt and pepper idea mentioned earlier though.

It's with a solemn and heavy heart that I deliver this news.

As some of you know, I work for a large retailer. I ran some figures today and discovered to my deep, deep disappointment that in the final quarter of 2011, of those customers who purchased onion rings 67% opted for battered with only the remaining 33% righteous few choosing to veer away from the dark side.

Stronts, Champ, Rex, Paulie, Remmie and my other fellow breadcumb brothers, we are a minority group and we are fighting for our very survival. Be strong, have faith in the crumb and most of all, stay safe. *sheds tear*
