He's been shit for at least the last season and a half. Had a terrible year for the national team as well. His career is on a rapid decline at the moment.

He was on the decline in his final season, thats why Rafa got rid. I think the own gaol against Chelsea was the final straw.

Yeah, but he had a few decent seasons with Roma after that. Over the last couple of years it's been going downhill for him. Which I think is down to him not actually having any skills apart from a fairly decent left foot and stamina. He's losing his speed so he can't go on all of these forward runs without being punished for them anymore.

As for the national side having Hangeland who has even less pace alongside him has actually damaged both of them which we painfully experienced when playing the decisive Euro qualifier against Denmark in September. Although there are many other reasons for that defeat, like Denmark outclassing us in more or less every position.

Jammy cunts. Should have been sent off in the first half and all.

Saw the Lampard tackle today.... interesting to compare it with Jay's tackle at Fulham and Milijas(?) for Wolves against Arse.

Lampard - late, nowhere near the ball, studs showing, catches defender full on ankle, defender makes no fuss. Yellow card.

Spearing - wins ball cleanly, follow through catches Dembele, minimal contact, Dembele behaves as if lower leg amputated. Red.

Milijas - slides in after ball, gets ball cleanly, makes no obvious contact with Arteta, who collapses and rlls around iin faux agony. Red card.

fucked up or what.

It really is high time that the refs got together and agreed - and published - a set of guidelines which details how they interpret the two key words in the rule book - 'reckless' and 'careless'. Because there is absolutely no consistency in the interpretation at the moment.

And the FA needs to grow a set and get a grip on drama queens like Arteta and Dembele and a list too long to mention who exaggerate contact and get fellow professionals carded left and right. One aspect that these wankkers all forget is that all of us mugs pay a small fortune to watch football - which means a match that gets determined by which team plays better and deserves to win based on how it has played not because a result is turned on its head by some ludicrous refereeing decisions, often aided and abetted by some play acting which cons a naive ref.

bans need to be handed out for diving, its the only way it will stop

Couldn't believe it early when I read Barton could be in the shit for speaking out against Johnson cheating

Agree, and as I always bring up about this subject, in Italy they are banning players retrospectively for diving and cheating, so why can't that be done in this league? I think it's the right way to go.

Examples of incidents when players have received bans for diving/cheating in Serie A.

Howard Webb to Man Utd's rescue again, thats about 15-20 times now. How long can this go on before it's looked in to?

It won't ever be, mainly because of the countless masses who don't want to believe it goes on.

Webb will go on til the day he retires handing them games on a plate as he has done numerous numerous times now, and it won't ever change.
