Meanwhile, the two officials at the centre of United's controversial 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Saturday – referee Mike Jones and assistant John Flynn – have not been given Premier League games this weekend. Sir Alex Ferguson will not face an FA charge over his comments after that game. [sauce]

Unfortunately he is not losing the plot, he is extremely shrewd and calculating and got exactly what he wanted.

The sooner he retires the better.

The FA do their usual bit to reinforce the message.

Fucking hilarious, there you go, right there in black and white. If anyone ever doubted the hold this old cunt has over English football then there it is in a nutshell. Amazing.

Yet there are people who insist he has no influence.

Good to see the FA reminding referees and linesmen that they should not be giving opposition teams penalties or disallowing 94th minute manc goals. Bet they won't make that mistake again in a hurry.

Liverpool 1 Chelsea 1?

Lampard 'penalty'?

Rob Styles?

Any bells?

Of course he's a cunt but that was a shit decision and any club would be moaning about it or wanting the official(s) penalised.

If it was the other way around, he wouldnt have got done.

Like Webb when he robbed Spurs the other year.

It was a terrible decision by the linesman. If it were against us, I would expect Kenny to make the same noises. There are plenty of reasons why Ferguson is a twat but moaning about that pen on Saturday isn't one of them.

I knew you'd be in here trying to tell us all we're paranoid.

True enough.

Conceding another four goals in 20 minutes kind of diluted their argument though!

The "it's not up to me" crack is the contentious issue here, but a suspension for the officials is a fair call for me.

I enjoyed my cackle at the time, I can do without the icing of kicking Ferguson for complaining about it as well.

Kenny's comments after Stoke were of a similar hue, they just didn't have any hope of success.

First of all why isn't he being reprimanded for talking about the ref and/or linesman performances?

Second after breaking the rules the FA back him for doing it but you still can't see what he and the FA are doing wrong?

Your right, but yet again you fail to see the point everyones making Tom. And yet again the difference with everyone else and them is....

Had it been any other fucking team, those refs would be reffing again this weekend.

But because its them and Slurgie talking, they arn't. And they'll probably not ref a United game for a long time to come.

I don't buy into paranoia and conspiracy theories, no. If that is the point I am missing, I get it, but just fundamentally disagree with it.

I don't know people are still feeding that troll, he must spend a fortune on tissues and baby oil and no I'm not talking about bacon face. Although I'll admit I could understand your line of thought.

Not the first time Jones has been penalised.

Referee demoted to Championship after Sunderland beach ball error | Football | guardian.co.uk

That fucking Rafa......

To be fair though the two incidents couldn't be more different.

He got a penalty decision wrong, the type of which shitloads of refs get wrong every year.

As opposed to a beachball being allowed to score a goal, the beachball one you could justify him getting demoted for. But for the penalty at the weekend, if he gets suspended, so should nearly every ref at least once a season.
