Why do you hate Fernando so much?

It was Henry and Ayre who sold him and forced him to submit a transfer request. They were more than happy to sell him. They've waited until the very last weekend of the transfer market to make a move for a a player(Suarez) after they were sure that Torres would leave. Henry said it was a great move and it made absolute sense, to replace a 28yr old with a 22yr old(Carroll). Moneybollocks at its best. Look how great it worked for us. They even managed to get rid of Carroll without another replacement a year and a half later.

So he was forced out, do you think? Didn't want to leave but those nasty FSG boys booted him out?

There are two seperate issues here. Torres wanting to leave and FSG selling him to our direct domestic rivals.

Torres wanted to leave because he felt fed up after waiting for so long to see investment on players and getting a squad capable of winning something. His interest in moving to Chelsea was created from inside Liverpool and specifically by Martin Broughton(remember what he said in the Chelsea end of season party 6 months before Torres left for Chelsea) and because the new owners left an entire transfer window to the very last weekend(after they were certain that Torres was leaving) to make a move for Suarez, although we desperately needed new additions to recover some ground.

But regardless of what Torres thought, FSG could have waited until the summer and see how is the partnership between Suarez and Torres. They could have sold him in the summer to Inter, Real, Barca, Milan, PSG. Yet they've decided to cash in and sell him to our direct rivals, breaking a rule that even Hicks and Gillette respected(never sell our key players to our direct rivals).

So yeah it's all Fernando's fault, isn't it?

Well Torres sulked for six months and then put in a transfer fucking request so it's kind of hard to blame anyone else.

But don't let that stop you peddling your anti FSG agenda.
