Probably the only way to doing mate, wouldn't do the train unless you are one of these people who want to experience what the locals do. Travelling by road is a bit of a nightmare as a lot are undeveloped, I travelled round Rajasthan on a bus and you feel like it goes on forever. Maybe do a train back to Delhi from Varanasi then fly from Delhi to Kerala? That way you get to experience a bit of everything. You could always go to Goa after flying into Mumbai?

Going to a wedding in Patiala next month, and we have 5-6 days to spend in Rajasthan after. What were your highlights?

No full English breakfasts so no chance of aRdja posting more from the dark depths of the culinary world.

Rajasthan loves meat dishes and it's easy to get alcohol, unlike Gujarat on its southern border where practically everybody is veggie and teetotal.

That’s brilliant. Did you spend much time in Jaipur or did you go to like the desert?
