Melbourne comedy festival just started. Went to see Kitson doing Keep last night, took the in-laws, managed to get front row.

father in law started trying to fill in words in Kitson pauses - didn’t go down well, mother in law hated it.

rest of us thought it was really good, proper little narrative journey.

went to see Ross noble tonight, now that was a comedian said the mother in law, he was funny.

i have another 2.5 weeks of this.

leftvthem in a bar, slopes home for a kilchomann and some ambient.

I watched John Bishop - Supersonic at the Royal Albert Hall last night. Its own Netflix. Ive seen him live before and he was very funny but this was just the same old stuff really. Taking the piss out of himself and his family for getting older. Had a woman on stage to teach old chat up-lines... I was cringing throughout that bit.

I'm quite surprised how popular he is, in a parallel universe he's doing the Butlins circuit. He seems a nice bloke though.

Bit similar to Peter Kaye in his schtick, listened to his desert island disks a few years back and he does sound like a good bloke, he’s made a good shot of it though, somewhat limited technique so he diversified and got stuck into ad much ad he could once he got a sniff of media.

dunno if I’d pay to watch him do stand up though.

Cant deny him what he has achieved and the money he has made. My mate got me a ticket to see him at Portsmouth Guildhall years back and he was funny as fuck.

His voice does my head in nowadays when he is on stage. He talks "dead ...... slow ..... liiiike .... that"

To be fair you do have to slow it down a bit when yer away from home, maybe he has been told to go slower. Maybe he’s in the middle of a very long stroke.
