Sunday night

If you've not seen it, it's a excellent show. Split in two halves with Ravi Shankar written piece starting it, before all the stars come in later

I was at that concert for George. What a fucking night, they were standing spaces on the top tier of the Albert hall. I'd had the tickets for a while and it was a time where I used to go everywhere for the match. We played in Holland in the uefa cup on the Thursday (can't remember who, maybe Nijmegen?), but I had return flights to Liverpool I'd booked with my mates from Amsterdam to return on the Sunday morning in time for man united at home. So I went to Amsterdam on weds, the match on Thursday, flew into London Friday, saturday morning back Amsterdam, back to Liverpool for the match on Sunday. What a fucking mental few days.

The star of the concert is Joe Brown. Steals the show, for me. Similar to how Billy Preston steals the show at the Concert for Bangladesh.

I've not seen it, is that Joe Brown, he of The Bruvvers? If so I watching a bit of his show in Liverpool on YouTube and he plays a great Mandolin? and a great version of Sea of Heartbreak.

I was always playing Picture of You as a kid, one of me Mum and Dads records, for some reason, I still think it's good.

He's sound Joe Brown, hope it's the same one, I don't know another.

Yes, the same. Brilliant musician. He's done all sorts - used to play with Billy Fury (where was Billy in the Greatest Male Artists!) Obviously good mates with George.

Can only find this short clip from the concert -

But as a conclusion to the concert it's very emotional.

I'll have to give it a watch  cheers. Yes Billy Fury was great, wrote his own material apparently, and yes he never got a mention, I was guilty of that though myself.

I didn't know Joe Brown played with him, I'll look out for them. I met an old girlfriend from many years ago about 2 years ago now, we sort of became teenagers again and it was good if not a bit dangerous in a way, anyway she sent me that track, mad but dead nice though so that track is forever planted in my head now haha, sound though.
