243/9 at stumps, Chanderpaul 87 not out, they'd be a very weak team without him in the batting line up. Broad with 6 wickets for 72. England will be happy with that, looks a decent wicket to bat on with something for the bowlers who keep a good line and length. Can Chanderrpaul get his century and will the Windies get over 250?? Should be another good day tomorrow with the same overcast weather predicted.

Well that lasted all of one ball, 243 all out, Chanderpaul stranded not out. Broad on a hat trick at the start of the Windies second innings...7 for so far...over to the batsmen.

Good knock that from Gabriel.

Well our predictions were predictably correct. They got less than 250, and Chanderpaul the only batsman to get over 50.

They're shit and will lose all three tests.

The weather might save them on that, but i think they'll get battered otherwise. They have a half decent bowling attack but it gets erratic and heads fall when wickets don't fall.

On the other hand, lads...

Overcast at Lord's, might be a problem or two if early wickets fall and their raw quickies get their tails up.

Funny game cricket and all that.

OK, OK I know. I'm an Australian.

Could also easily happen mate, but batting on home turf we have a batting order which is less likely to collapse as in the older days.

I think he might sniff out the Long Room kitchen well before one o'clock.

I bet when he walks into a restaurant which holds an all you can eat buffet the owners cry.

He underedged it on to his stumps. It skidded through due to Roach's lack of height. Might have been a touch too close to him as well.

Cheers mate, not the best way to get out.

Especially as its usually Cook's best shot.

We'll still get 400+ and win by an innings, or very close.

We are looking well set to actually achieving that and the Windies bowlers don#t look like they are capable of holding a steady line and length, pick the bad balls and it should allow us to motor on at a steady pace. One big partnership will probably do for their confidence big style.

This lot look way out of their depth, the only thing that should bother England is the weather and complacency.
