Batsmen shouldn't be allowed to leave their crease so early. Why couldn't it simply be that if he's left his crease before the ball has left the bowler's hand, any runs gained from that advantage would be removed, similar to umpires calling '1 short' if a batsman didn't touch in the crease properly whilst running between the wickets?

 

As far as whether the Mankad should be legal or not, the ball could be considered 'dead' up until the point it leaves the bowlers hand, making the attempt at a Mankad fairly pointless.

Was only following it in Flashscore, but that seemed very comfortable. Hales with another good score as well.

 

Ot for 99 is a bummer though. Our one day side is looking quite healthy for a change.
