That massive cunt Cameron jumping on the bandwagon now on PMQs. Pathetic.

Why is it pathetic?

That's what all politicians do, especially the clever ones: react to public emotion and opinion, and hopefully exploit it for political mileage.

The vast majority don't care about anything at all, especially Conservatives.

Just seem one journalist saying that "It's almost as though people in mainland europe don't appreciate how important the wars of the last century still are on a daily basis".

What a crock of shit.

I read that as a quip supporting FIFA's stance, but I don't think he worded it very clearly.

Why is it just this year that this has caused such a stink? Is this the first year in post war football history that England have played an international around this time of year?

They should be allowed to wear T-shirts underneath saying "Take that Hun!" which can be displayed if we score a goal in a show of unity to our Brave Boys

David Davies was on Breakfast this morning saying in the sixteen years he was at the FA they quite regularly played around this time - most notably the Argentina friendly in Geneva - but the issue was never raised.

The reason it has caused such a stink this time around is mainly due to the fact that the country is populated with a very high percentage of bandwagon-jumping utter fucking eedjits.

It is totally pathetic.

Like i said this has never been an issue before in the 66 years since the end of World War 2 but now suddenly it is headline news. Fifa haven't just 'banned the poppy', it's always been a ruling to all national teams that they cannot display this kind of symbol on a football shirt as they want to preserve the neutrality of the game. If people want to wear a poppy then great, but why should this become a massive political issue were the government are now lobbying Fifa when they've never been bothered before? There are plenty more important things for them to worry about than this. It's nothing more than a publicity stunt for Cameron with him taking an absolute beating domestically with the whole country on it's arse around him.

I realise you were not necessarily disagreeing with this idea by the way.

Yes, I know. Hence my earlier post.

I know David Cameron is a cunt. They all are.

If ever you wanted confirmation for reasons why NOT to wear one. It really does spoil the initial good reasons it was brought out.

BBC Sport - Sportsday Live - breaking sports news

1510 FOOTBALL: Fifa have confirmed that two protestors from the English Defence League are currently on the roof of Fifa HQ in Zurich. The protest is over Fifa denying the FA permission for England team to wear poppy on shirt in game this Saturday v Spain.

Guest davelfc

Cameron is writing to FIFA to complain, he's got no chance, no chance at all of that letter reaching Zurich before Saturday. Not with our shite postage service.
