Johnny H is spot on. Whilst I'd acknowledge that his teams have mostly been attack-minded, his overall win-at-all-costs attitude towards the sport has had the most poisonous influence on the game in this country in the modern era.

Let's not forget, this is the man who gave us....

- the mass brawl against Arsenal (1990?) which resulted in both clubs having points docked.....and lots of other unseemly incidents between these clubs along the way

- the Kung Fu kick.......but he couldn't wait to get Cantona back in the team

- the career-wrecking tackle by Roy Keane -again, Ferguscum condoned this behaviour by continuing to pick Keane until he was past it

- tactical intimidation of referees (Andy D'urso anyone?)

- the Portugese diving team..... so rich that he slanders Suarez after the antics of Ronaldo and Nani, not to mention Rooney

- talking of whom........ there never were any repercussions after Rooney's thuggish, cowardy assault on McCarthy's cheek bone at Wigan earlier this year

- Rooney's outburst down the camera at West Ham also this year....great way of thanking your employer for doubling your salary

- calling Alan Wiley 'unfit' and Atkinson an unfair ref, and many many more unacceptable comments along the way about refs and other clubs' players

- been in breach of contract with the BBC for a number of years until the BBC recently kissed arse and made up

all these appalling incidents ...and many more....were committed/condoned/encouraged by Ferguscum. Sure, we all turn a blind eye to the transgressions of our club/players/manager.... but this appalling obnoxious cunt has consistently displayed such a complete lack of any morality, dignity, respect and humility (all of which KK has in spades) for so long......... and yet the media and especially the spineless BBC continue to hang on every word. You couldn't make it up.

This (DaveT's post)

And its only scratching the surface. The man is a grade A cunt. The game will be so much better off without him poisoning it. I accept what he has achieved its excellent, but there is no respect from me. How could you respect someone who treats the league, the officials and his opposition with so much dis-respect. The sooner he fucks off the better.

You can respect the achievement without respecting the man. He's an odious cunt no doubt who's done considerable damage to many facets of football, from the reduced standing of the FA cup to the way the media works, but despite this his achievements on the pitch have been phenomenal. Year after year they're written off and meanwhile we have more false Dawns than a ladyboy convention. I've been one of the worst for writing them off early in the past and yet still he manages to put a winning side together. He hasn't even rebuilt winning sides in the last ten years, they haven't had a completely talented squad since the late 90s, and yet what he has done is get teams up and running around a nucleus of three-four players. Despite having had a steadily declining squad for years they win and win and win because of him, because of his ruthlessness and because they're scared of him, that's pretty fucking awesome.

I think you, and a few others, missed the joke in the last sentence.

Didn’t miss the joke Pal; too busy vomiting at the preceding three sentences to laugh.

Given the outrageous wit of your usual posts, such disappointing comments on this vile subject are truly nauseating.

Dunno how you sleep at night.

Shame on you.

Crikey. I do hate him, but I am willing to at least acknowledge what a quite incredible career the horrible twat has had as a manager.
