Went to see ICE T and he brought out Darlene onto the stage, his wife from the album cover. I was at the very front literally feet away and I can still remember how hot she was. All killer no filler - nothing plastic about that woman.

Wonderful acapella on the intro to this. I have heard a lot of MG and I hadn't heard this version before.

 

 

 

 

Here's the version you may be more familiar with and it really shows the effect the mix has on the final product. This one has a much broader soundscape and snares gated and added reverb etc.

Awesome David Ruffin. The guy who wrote these lyrics also penned " I could never love another after loving you" after his wife left him, he comitted suicide New Years Eve 1967, very sad really.
