Beautiful song this no doubt put up before. Writen by band member Winston Lovitt who sings the intro. Recorded at legendary Philly studios scenic, backing musicians were the MFSB, which stood for Mother, Father, Sister,Brother and consisted of approx 20 of the greatest musicians in America at that time, they played backing for Billy Paul, Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes, Stylistics to name a few.

The group and lead singer Gerald Alston's glorious voice imo do not get the recognition they deserve, especially as this song was recorded without an auto-tune machine in sight.

Great song, but the big question is where can I get myself one of those all in one leisure suits?

I've been listening to this album a bit, BLACKsummer's Night by Maxwell. Once you get your head around the modern production, the singing, songwriting & playing on this LP is very nice. Chris Dave on drums is off the charts...

Great track , David ruffin was also a favourite of mine

Have you seen Summer of Soul?

David Ruffin is absolutely unbelievable in that, turns up all suited up & blows the place apart.

His first 4 solo albums are very underrated IMO.
