They played on a bunch of vocal hits I am sure you dig.

 

Check out Stax/Volt Revue 1967 - there is an incredible show recorded in Norway. They were the backing band for that tour - Al Jackson especially was killin it that night.

Not disputing their musical talent,  had another look they just don't move me. Hated Time is Tight when it came out and still do now.
