Check out Stax/Volt Revue 1967 - there is an incredible show recorded in Norway. They were the backing band for that tour - Al Jackson especially was killin it that night.

Saw Summer of Soul last night.  Really interesting film - some great concert footage, and really interesting context.  The (Republican) Mayor of New York was a revelation.

It is very good - Questlove is doing another one on Sly and the Family Stone. He has found a nice niche.

Not disputing their musical talent,  had another look they just don't move me. Hated Time is Tight when it came out and still do now.
