  1. 1. Francesco Totti. How good is he

    • Proper boss, a world class player
    • He's pretty good, but he's well overrated
    • Meh, he's average
    • He's not all that.
    • He's shit.

Also Lance, shut up. Italian teams have had more representatives in Champions League finals since Totti started playing than any other country which would tend to suggest that over the course of his career, it has actually been the strongest league in Europe.

You mean except for the last what... ?

Totti is great in a shit league. Deal with it.

I don't know if you remember or pay attention back that far Lance, but Inter won the Champions League the season before last.

So Totti's now great, not shit?

You are to football what David Cameron is to the British working classes.

Nope. His league is shit, so being great there means he'd still be a pile of utter cack in England.

One club/one league players are always hard to judge in terms of greatness. He has always styled over Serie A but has he done exceptionally well in the Champions League?

Decent scoring record for someone who has played largely as a number ten. 16 in 50. 37 in 88 for all European competitions. As a comparison, Stevie has 38 from 116, although obviously he's played further back in a lot of those games.

Worth baring in mind Roma have been proper shit a lot of the time.

Lance, it's fair to say that Totti is (probably) still one of the top players in a league that is nowhere near as strong as the Serie A of years gone by. The thing is, he was also one the top players in Serie A when it was THE best league in the world. Therefore, he is a top class player full stop. He's also loyal to his hometown club, even though he could have enjoyed more success and acclaim elsewhere in Italy, or abroad.
